EVERYONE that I know that has traveled RECENTLY has said the BACHANALL has really slipped in quality, taste, etc... There are some GREAT Asian Buffets "OFF THE STRIP" that people say are pretty cool, and they TASTE better as well, and some great ALL YOU CAN EAT Sushi as well!!!!

I had three very bad buffets that no longer exist and few people would remember: Joker's Wild (eliminated their buffet many years ago) Klondike Sunset (the old incarnation with occasional all-you-can-eat in the restaurant, not the current one) Vacation Village (demolished and replaced by Town Square) One of them was $2 and one was free and I still thought they were overpriced for what I was getting.

For the price its probably acceptable. At least there are choices. Probably good if you're hung over and need quantity over quality. And as you asked, big sausages are better than small weenies in my opinion!

Great review, 5/5 stars for Dan. The buffet is not on my list for any future visits. I’ve tried it a few times over the years, it was progressively less desirable each visit. Actually had my wedding reception there in 2015, great staff and atmosphere.

I have eaten there a few times. For a low-middle end buffet, it’s tolerable when the serving areas are clean (rarely when I’d been there.) while the decorations are nice, they tend to feel gloomy and the vibe of eating in a tomb is a bit of a buzzkill. When I was there the first times, Luxor was still part of the Circus Circus chain and the food choices showed it. The last time, it was under the MGM banner and had shown some slight improvements. All in all, the buffet at Excalibur was a better choice for the price range. And most anywhere else save Circus Circus was still better.

6 out of 10 was way to generous of a score. My opinion when my wife and I went there last year was 4.5 out of 10. Price I believe was 26.99 last year. I would recommend west gate buffet for 24.99. As long as you sign up for their loyalty program, you will get the discount.

Growing up i remember going to the luxor for their buffet, and maybe its just nostalgia but i do enjoy their buffet because of the memories it brings back. Me and the family werent as fortunate as we are now and for something affordable and fun. This a a great option

We did the Luxor buffet about ten years ago as we had a 48 hour pass for that, Excalibur and MGM Grand. We found Excalibur to the best overall, Luxor was OK but nothing special. That's probably reflected in the more affordable pricing point.

I have stayed at Luxor multiple times and until a few years ago I had no idea they had a buffet. Cheap or not I would pass on this. Bacchanal, Wicked Spoon and Wynn are my top three. Going to try AYCE in October

For $28, we shouldn't complain that it's the worst buffet. Bacchanal charged $90 when we were there last week. And yes, soy sauce does make everything taste better 😂

Got stuck going to the Circus Circus buffet back in the 90's. Only meat was Sizzeline, they had powdered eggs, coffee that was totally deluded, powdered creamer that curdled, ect.

Hey Dan, from a fellow Dan, thanks for your review of the Luxor buffet. Just from watching you eat there, I know my wife and I would not enjoy that buffet. The dishes did not look appetizing and the selection was poor as well. I personally thought you were too generous on your ratings, but you’re just a nice guy… In Vegas, I know buffet’s are getting expensive, but food quality is so important. Oatmeal? Scrambled eggs? Are you at breakfast/brunch? My neighborhood $18 Chinese buffet has a better selection smh. Buffet is (1) Bacchanal (2 tied) Wynn Buffet (2 tied) Palms AYCE. AYCE has snow crabs for brunch at $32.99. I don't know about you, but I'll pay an extra $5 and head over to AYCE instead of the Luxor for some really good shrimp, crab, and nigiri.

Luxor one of the worst hotels in Vegas. Buffet is perfect for the total ghetto stay experience. Rooms have bugs and water pressure is bad.

Wow that’s the lowest score I think give given especially for meats. You can’t go wrong with asian food. You also can’t go wrong with omelets unless it’s over cooked.damn sorry your last plate was not that great. I think this was like the most you haven’t like in a while.
