Is the M850i the ultimate GT? - 2019 BMW 8 Series review | What Car?

I just got my M850xi. I have owned Porsche 911S, Panamera, Porsche 911. I am 6,3" and in my opinion, best car so far. Yes, the steering is not as sporty (feel)as my last 535i or 640i but still when driven in "SPORT" mode it feels great, sounds great, looks great. If you can afford it, try it, you'll like it!

Why do you still say the Merc is better, they all have stretched ipad screens and so only for the fruit phone fans! the usability of the idrive is sooooo much better than merc and audio!

Grrrreat looking car, fantastic performance for the M850i and excellent fuel economy for the 840d. The X drive can haul you round corner like on rails and the laser lights !!

I would disagree with the DB11 this is much more produced and slightly slower . Only the v12 would . V8 or i6 wouldn’t

The Bentley Continental GT is the king of this class but I'll take an S63 AMG over the 8 series.

What is the point of this car? It just looks like a slighter jazzier, bigger 6 series. It's hideously overpriced, ugly, cramped, dated, charmless and will drop like a stone depreciation wise. I'd much rather have a original 8 series tbh. BMW have really jumped the shark in the last few years design wise. Bring back Chris Bangle.
