Love Tim’s perspective on positioning flights from PNW. Much prefer home airport PDX or short positions to SEA SFO or YVR. most creators push east coast connecting, not very interested unless a big time redemption.

Award availability to Asia is bad because there are far fewer direct flights between the US (especially the East Coast) and China due to political tensions (bad US-China relations and American airlines not allowed to fly over Russian airspace). The ripple effect is that flights to Tokyo, Taipei, Hong Kong, and Seoul became more expensive/difficult to get. There's no relief in sight unless you expect both of those situations to improve.

Dulles is a great airport to leave from because of so many great lounges. It’s a terrible airport to fly into internationally because of those hideous people movers.
