You've inspired me to buy a 340. Have been a not very enthusiastic detector for years. My old Garrett Treasure Ace 100 was useless on the beach about 8 years ago. Just going off like a lunatic. I nearly gave it a burial at sea if it weren't so good on land😃 But these Minelabs look a different thing altogether. I'm on the North Wales coast quite a lot so will hopefully get my use out of it👍

Update, my wife and I got the minlab 340s last week. Also brought ourselves two gp pinpointers ($20 Amazon) and a couple cheap 28" shovels ($10 harbor freight). So just basic cheap starter packs. We have found so many coins. I had someone tell me the nox tdi numbers were the same. So we spent a few days at parks picking coin after coin. Great machines.

Hi , I live in Australia and own the 540 with the Pro pack. Will be running it on the beaches with the 12 inch coil it comes with. Keep the 8 inch coil for high trash park areas. I have seen lots of good reviews on utube including some great finds with the 540 and 440 machines.

I have thought about getting the minelab vanquish 440 but the 340 seems to work very well too

Greetings from Argentina, Paul. I have a brand new 540. We´re still in quarantine here, so i didn´n go out to prove it. Just did it in my home backyard. Wich is the best Vanquish mode for beaches : Coins, Relics or Jewellery ? Thanks Paul, love your videos.

Hi There leonardo..if its a clean beach then coin mode but make sure you add back in what is notched out by default 0-9..

Wèll i would hammer the beaches with the 340 as it is and it will soon pay for the upgrade, that is if we ever get let out again. The setup you have is fine for fields aswell. Ive had the standard 340 out with all the high end detectors and still found hammered coins etc

@@vtcliffi personally I would just stick with the 340 , does the job, the v12 coil unbalances the machine, do a beach depth test with the nox 800 and the vanquish 340 ,results identical

It really loves the small deep stuff, i recently bought 1, depth is good, silwnt on the beach, no good for noght hunting as it has no VDI light which a machine like that should have, even ceapies have a nack light,, it finds the stuff thats for sure i took 30 ailvers last week and only had the machine a fortnight. Bought the machine of you guys. Its good value for money but should have a few more bells and whistles so ill stick to the simplext and nox HH

Paul. Another great video, can you tell me how you set you machine up please, yours sounds so clear compared to my 540 on the beach, I can see you use custom setting but cant see anything else. Thank you

make sure you dont have your sensitivity too high people tend to run them to hot and there is no need, all metal, slow recovery speed (Coin mode) on the 540 thats about a 5 compared to the equinox so its still very quick, or if you prefer to use no iron volume make sure you put back in the discrim thats missing from 0- 9 i think it is if i remeber rightly
