Love the extra push of the fission Pyro. Love the feel of all MVP plastics aside from their baseline, but Fission feels the best by far.

Damn that challenge went by quick. Excited to see how you close things out. I never picked up the Halloween discs. I have stopped buying the special edition runs of MVP discs mostly due to their price and I don't want to struggle to find replacements if one were to make my bag. I would think MVP would drop a r2 pixel soon and that plastic feels really nice for putting. Has a softer, grippy feel compared to normal neutron so it felt comfortable in putting.

If you have lower arm speed the wave is honestly a decent driver to start with if you did want to try a distance driver🤝 maybe grab a light weight fission though

@@broderic It's weird because I have no problem throwing like a Destroyer for instance, but something about the Glow Wave, mine always feels like it just dumps overstable right away.

@ well tbh is just has no glide😂 if you’re already throwing innova distance drivers definitely don’t start trying mvp drivers or you will just be disappointed you wasted $20

Well apparently they released a Proton Plastic Halloween Trail and I had no idea its such a pretty disc sold out everywhere now. The Detour is by far my farthest throwing midrange the glow variant and the regular neutron variant love the disc.

The Halloween Detour is a little more flippy than I wanted. I was hoping it was going to be a more stable version. It'll make the bag for glow rounds for sure. The Halloween Pixel is so good. Feels much deeper than the electrons, but still has all that wonderful glide. This one won't be leaving my bag anytime soon.

Exactly. I was thinking the Halloween detour would be more stable 🤷🏽‍♂️ I personally don’t think the pixel is any deeper I just think the different plastic makes it feel “different”🤝

So far I've only really noticed a flight difference in Fission and Electron plastic. Eclipse seems closer to neutron more often. The bigger difference is whether the run or color has dome or not. Flatter more overstable, more dome more turn and glide.

The only Wave that I would describe as stable would be the cosmic neutron wave. Those fly kinda like a Innova Wraith to me.

I’ve seen such mixed results with these Detours. I love my Neutron detour. I just started throwing the glow one. For me it’s more stable than my neutron one. I’ve also seen reviews showing it’s more stable. I have a buddy that picked up a glow one that his is very noticeably flippier than the neutron. You mentioned yours being flippier. Really interesting that it seems to be a pretty inconsistent run.

Pixel is pretty awesome throwing, like a slightly more stable watt to me. Pyro seems like a farther tempo, and I totally agree with the forehand feel too. Sucks! Overall, I like the disc and stamps are pretty sweet too!

For whatever it's worth (not a damn thing), I think your assessment of the Wave holds exactly true to my experience with them. I also have a fission Wave that I leaned on heavy for long, tight hyzer flips, but it became really unpredictable after about 8-10 months of bagging it. Got an equal weight Wave in neutron plastic = COMPLETELY DIFFERENT disc. What are ya gonna do? Forget about it

I learned to "flick" a forehand by watching your forehand videos. I think you actually "flick" your backhand too. Can you maybe do a video on how to flick a backhand.

The only Halloween disc for this year that I got was the pixel.. it’s on a trial run for the main bag right now but definitely my new glow putter. Looking forward to the volt v weapon vid. The volt is my favorite fairway.. I’m not sure if you have any fission volts but if you do you should bring that as it’s got a half point more turn and judging from Nate Turner’s vid, the weapon looks more similar to the fission volt.

Got a chance to chuck the weapon a couple times in the field yesterday after a vid and I really like it. Would definitely compare it to a volt. Also not sure if that video will happen because I just got word the weapon in almost sold out. Gonna still try to get something up but they might not be available by the time I do🏃🏽‍♂️

@ is what it is as they say… Outa curiosity have you tried the fission volt? I know you’re not a big fan of the fission plastic, I wasn’t at first either. But it was a way to replace a beat up neutron volt while working in a new one.. now I bag both. 🤷

I do not like lightweight Fission since they are too flippy for me. 170 - 175 is perfect where they can be slightly less stable without overturning. My 161 Time Lapse tends to overturn and drop too quickly even on hyzer.
