I respect you opinion. But as someone’s who’s relatively young and loved prior Honda’s. Seeing Honda move away from more sporty looking car’s has really made me quite sad. I remember when Toyota moved away from sporty cars and is now making an effort to come back. With the GR Supra, GR86/BRZ and the GR Corolla (which might be a civic/gti killer) really makes me wish Honda at least kept the coupe. Especially since they could’ve probably afforded to.
@jd33302 жыл бұрын
@@omarawilson2853 I just think that market (sub $30,000) is over saturated nowadays. There are better offerings than a sporty 200-hp Si such as the Miata. There’s also the Veloster N which is an amazing deal for the price. There’s the GTi, WRX, and GR(86)/BRZ. I personally got my 2019 Mustang GT at $28K brand new and I was picking between the Miata, Civic Si, and Veloster N. So I think they want to target a specific audience now who want sport and functionality at a good price point.

Canada: LX (2.0), EX (2.0), Sport (2.0), Touring (1.5T), Si (1.5T) US: LX (2.0), Sport (2.0), EX (1.5T), Si (1.5T), Touring (1.5T).

Another great review in the books!! I currently have a 2019 Si and, as expected, it's been bulletproof! I actually prefer the look of the new one so I will consider it in a year or two, but, yeah, I just wished Honda would have infused it with at least 20 to 30 more hp. I am looking forward to seeing what Acura does with its Civic Si treatment of their Integra, love the hatchback utility! But again, if it has identical power, I fear that the Integra will be even slower since it's the hatchback version and it will probably have more equipment and sound deadening which will equal to more weight. We shall see I guess.

The only thing I agree with this direction.. is they got rid of the chrome . A lot of us 10th Gen owners chrome deleted ours. But they got rid of heated seats and adaptive dampeners . Yet dealerships are marking these up like we are upgrading lol and no fog lights on this one.

Only $114,000 at Showcase Honda, AZ. “Bring an eighth”? That might give me the Twinkie munchies.

This would be a very nice choice for a sporty "economy car".

You are so very right about that Richard!

Is your tester equipped with the summer tires? Ner a squeal going around those curves, and it looks like your taking them quite quickly with very little body lean. Seems really fun to drive if not the quickest car.

Joe, right now I’m driving a 2018 Honda Odyssey with Si badges affixed to the front and rear. That tells you all you need to know about how I roll. I had a 2009 Si coupe and it remains quite possibly my favorite car or #2 at the least. I still regret selling it. I’d strongly consider this if I were in the market to buy a new car. My problem is that I like and want everything, but having the ability to buy something, I’d likely go towards something fun. If I had to cast off the Odyssey but still find something practical, I think this car would easily fit the bill. Thanks for feeding my dreams. Be well, my friend.

I had the original 1986 Si and I recall it being hatchback so I don't understand why it's now a sedan. I even had a 1992 CRX and again hatchback/liftback.
