Sorry. Despite the overall similarity of the two vehicles the Telluride and Palisade lean toward different audiences. The Telluride, built in Georgia and aimed almost exclusively at the North American market, competes with other mainstream midsize SUVs such as the Ford Explorer, the Chevy Traverse, Honda Pilot, Toyota Highlander, Grand Cherokee, VW Atlas, etc. All of which emit the sort of "rugged" vibe that Americans love. The Palisade, on the other hand, is built in South Korea and aimed at international markets where the 3 row SUVs that dominate the North American markets have minuscule market share or aren't even offered. In those markets "luxury" trumps "rugged" and the Palisade's main rivals are SUVs from Europe with significantly higher price tags.

I have ordered a 2022 S without being able to see it or drive it. I did get to drive a 2019 SX and loved it, but needed a vehicle sooner than the SX would be available. I can't tell you how much I appreciated this video in explaining the standard options and operation. Mine is scheduled for delivery before September 28. I'm so anxious and excited. They are more expensive because dealers are ordering Tellurides with non removable upgrades. The tow package, AWD, 20 inch rims, captains chairs, etc...all add to the sticker price. Good luck trying to get the dealer to remove any of these. In the end, if you want one you have to accept all the extras and pay the premium.

So many car reviewers complain about rear wipers being at the base of the back glass, and while I do agree that vehicles look cleaner when they’re tucked up and away, for functionality’s sake, I’ll take a wiper at the bottom of the window every day of the week. It just clears more real estate and makes it much easier to see out of the back glass. But that’s just my opinion. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Also, I love our family’s Palisade, but my husband will always wish it was a Telluride. 😂

Agree and interesting is the Palisade tucks the wiper away. Nobody did this until GM came out with their latest Tahoe’s/Escalade/Yukon’s so it’s not like an industry standard.

I was a former Audi owner and I prefer Telluride. My friends describe my Telluride as like a luxury limo with suv capabilities.

We scored our 2020 Moss Green Sport AWD in March 2019. My wife loves it and to this day it's worth more than we paid for it. My wife said she do t care about turning a profit because she is very comfortable driving it. What a pleasure taking it to FL from NJ. The adaptive cruise with the lane assist is amazing. Took some ti.e to trust but it practically drives itself taking the stress of driving way down. You do an outstanding job with your reviews and find them unique and entertaining. Great Job.

Have had a 2020 model S for 2 years as a lease. Loved it. Until Carvana offered $11.5k to take it off my hands 😁. "They made me an offer I couldn't refuse." Not only are they surcharging for the amber DRL, but also only the SX has built into the electronics for the rear brake lights to also function as the blinkers, the rest of the lineup has the bottom bumper lights as the blinkers, which is so boring looking compared to the brake lights. Again, marketing to upsell.

The lack of the base trims in Canada stems largely from the fact that all Tellurides are AWD in Canada while in the US AWD is available as an option at all trim levels.

Sinking those badge letters inside the bonnet would require metal alterations, eventually might affect the build of the bonnet in case of a small crash, i believe. The more alterations and creases on the body, the more metal scrapping.

Telluride. The Highlander has horrible wind noise, dated interior, lane keep assist isnt as smooth, auto start feels like your getting rear ended, and no room in third row. As for looks, both are nice. I bought the Telluride and rented the Highlander for a week in Las Vegas.

I tried to get a 2021 Telluride 2 weeks ago from the dealer that had the model/color I wanted in FL. They added a $18k “manufacturer fee” to the price of the car. They said Kia USA is telling them that since people are buying it with the fee they are keeping supply low and jacking up the price. I didn’t believe it so I called 4 other dealerships in FL and the fee ranged between 10k & 20k. The Telluride I looked at was $61k. The fee only applied to the Telluride so I got the Sorento AWD SX-T but I think this is going to be my last Kia. I really wanted the Telluride but if I am going to pay $61k for the car I want might as well get a BMW suv.

Love the mount style of the info-tainment screen! That’s one of the things I would “zonk” in most other vehicles. When I saw this, I was like, “Bam! There ya go! It’s not a zonk anymore!” Did you mention anything about heated/ventilated seats? The other thing I would’ve liked to hear from you is more about the higher trims. But I’m sure there are reasons for that. I DO think the new badge is mind-blowing and so fitting on the Telluride.

I think the flat black works well. It matches the bottom of the mirrors and the middle frame of the doors.

Hey Joe can you please make a video on the LX? I want the bench seat in the second row but it only comes on the LX or EX but I can't justify the extra amount of money for EX so I'm going with LX. Any idea when the 2022 model will be available to order? Waiting for the optional fog lights on all trims to be available as well. Keep up the great work.

Go for the EX, the dealerships are marking up by 5k-10k regardless, get the extra features. I had a 2020 S until last night. 1st time driver ran a light. You will notice the differences in the lower trim over the years. Your family will fall in love with the car. Soit's a keeper just lousy engine for stop and go traffic.

@@sls156 the dealership I met with said they would mark up any in stock telluride by that amount but if I order it I get it at MSRP I'd just have to wait a few weeks. I am not in a rush to get it so I can wait. The LX comes nicely loaded especially for an entry level model compared to other makes so I'm still leaning towards that right now. Sorry to hear about that accident

@@mikke906 They started producing the 2022 Telluride’s June 10. Any ordered now will be 2022 unless they pull it from another dealership’s inventory which is unlikely. I ordered mine mid February & the VIN was created June 13. It was at the dealership 2.5 weeks later. So 4.5 weeks, that seems to be typical. Some high volume dealerships might get them a little quicker.

Test drove one. Then I test drove the Explorer ST and bought the Explorer for the following reasons. The KIA isn't even close. It's a front drive based vehicle. The Explorer is rear drive based which automatically gives it a superior chassis. So it drives better, handles better, accelerates better, stops better. At high speeds its far more planted. The KIA is like driving a bus compared to the Explorer. Plus the Explorer is far better looking as well

This is what is keeping me from pulling the trigger. I want the SX Prestige Nightfall but here in the Bay Area, dealers are marking up anywhere between 6-8k. Which puts the price point into other segments like the 2022 Acura MDX A-Spec. I’ve been looking for the last 9 months and markups are still a thing. I’ve tested both the MDX and Telluride and I’m in love with the Telluride. The Telluride is not worth anything over MSRP IMO.
