What a great vehicle, my liters per 100 Kms has been a steady 6.4 combined city and highway for the 6 years I’ve had it. Cavalry Blue is an amazing color (not to be confused with Calvary, which has nothing to do with the cavalry), it kind of reminds me a little of BMW's Yas Marina Blue. Thanks for a really great review. It was instrumental in helping me decide to go with the 2022 RAV4 XSE Hybrid ... in Cavalry Blue. I brought it home yesterday and love it. Just a few notes for those still shopping: 1) The panoramic moonroof, JBL speakers, and digital rearview mirror are all upgrade packages, not standard equipment. 2) I test drove one with the digital rearview and actually found it a challenge. I wear glasses for distance but my reading vision is perfect. The digital nature of the mirror played to the digital mid-range visual issues folks like me have (with computers screens and whatnot). I can see fine with the reflected image of a standard rearview mirror. If you have midrange vision issues when using your computer, you will definitely be challenged by a digital rearview mirror. (That said, you can just flick a switch to go back to the normal reflected version.) 3) I didn't upgrade the audio system to the JBL speakers, but if there weren't inventory/supply chain issues, I probably would have done so. The standard speakers are good, not great. 4) Also good to know: the sideview mirrors manually fold in, which comes in handy with my narrow garage and from keeping my mirrors from getting dinged by careless pedestrians in parking lots. 5) My car has the AWD emblems on the back doors, so there's that. (Doesn't bother me at all.) I think the RAV4 HYBRID is a far superior compact SUV than anything else out there ... even the Lexus NX Hybrid, its wealthier sibling. I do hope on the next update (or by the time my 3-year lease is up) that they add ventilated seats (I live in South Florida) and a power front passenger seat ... at least across the higher-end trims. Thanks again.

I went to the dealer today and they said, "Oh yea, you'll get 10 mpg more in the summer... if you don't use your air conditioning." If you press the red line when the backup camera is active, you can cycle the trajectory lines, the fixed lines, and remove the lines altogether.

Same here. Apple CarPlay makes up for it though. I hope we get a wireless variant. I wish the RAV4 would have the new tundra Ted pro infotainment system. It’s so sleek & minimal!

I have 2021 XSE hybrid. Nice that Toyota decided to have finally add fully illuminated window control switches. Lack of power passenger seat is still unacceptable. The seat sits too high and is very uncomfortable for taller people.
@randyjackson3473 жыл бұрын
They made the passenger power seat standard for the 2022 Rav4 Limited .
@CJ-ul6hm3 жыл бұрын
@@randyjackson347 Yes I’m aware of that but this video is for the RAV4 hybrid XSE. It should be standard on all models was my point.
@randyjackson3473 жыл бұрын
@@CJ-ul6hm Yes you right ! They put that and a lot more on the Camry XSE and XLE as standard equipment ... They should include the Rav4 as well ...
@DestinyC10202 жыл бұрын
I agree! I'm actually shocked that for a car that costs this much, Toyota hasn't thought to put power passenger seats in their new vehicles. Really strange. I know of lesser quality, cheaper made vehicles that have power passenger seats. C'mon Toyota.... 🤦🏾♀️

One reason to buy Toyota is the company's history in building and improving its hybrid propulsion for two decades now. I like to talk with car mechanics. Even though some are fans of other carmakers, not a one has issues with Toyota hybrids. They all praise the reliability of the latest hybrid models. I haven't bought a car for more than 14 years. I almost wish my current Toyota vehicles would give up but they keep on going and going well so buying a new car is out of the question now. But if a texting motorist takes one of my cars out, the RAV 4 will be on my short list of considerations.
