I think the guys just have a few knowledge gaps in terms of how fights and mechs are designed. Very few are actually random (and from my understanding, restricted to ultimates) but it slowed prog a bit. For a comparison, my group blind progged ex3 and by the end of the second lockout were trying to figure out ice. Most of us dont normally blind prog (and it was my first time) but we all savage raid and some even ultimates so we could solve some mechs the first time we saw them. First mech was two lasers that seemed targeted but killed any overlap? Lets check light parties on healers. Things like that. The guys def are ready for savage though and I look forward to their foray into it :)

I did blind prog on Sphene Extreme for the first time ever this past week with a group I know I can trust and I had an absolute blast. I'm still not through the fight yet either, but it was SO much fun to actually try to figure things out our own instead of using a day 1 guide that was hastily put together by people just as blind as we are.

I’ve been out of the extreme+ raiding scene for so long (since ARR lol). This kinda made me feel like I might have patience for it again…

As someone considering trying this extreme but hasnt done any before how would you rank it in terms of difficulty

Mechanically its very simple and even easier than the other 2 in my opinion but ice phase is not pf friendly. Its not hard just very prone to costly mistakes. Depending on how you see it its either easier than the other 2 on release or harder. Its more painful to farm though for sure xD

Satisfyingly difficult, fun but hard, it feels like how a .1 extreme should. Feels harder than M2S to me, while easier than M3S.
