Although I pre ordered a 25 Maverick Lariat Hybrid, I went with the 25 SEL Activity without dual clutch. I love my Santa Cruz as a daily driver.

I'd absolutely pick the Maverick Tremor over this for any off-road. But if i never went off road, this might be in my list of 10...lol.

For the money, I'm going Ford Maverick every time. But if I had to buy a Santa Cruz, it would be the lowest base model with cloth seats and a conventional drive train. Plus, you can't get a hybrid AWD at any price in this car.

I really wish the US Hyundai’s got the Terrain Modes. In Canada we got them. I feel they would make a difference.

That Hyundai/Kia dual clutch transmission would worry me. So much so I wouldn’t buy any Hyundai/Kia with one.

I totally agree, i bought Santa Cruz without taking it for a test drive, when they brought the car, i was so happy until i drove it the first time, i was like damn that transmission and engine noise is not what I prefer, driving experience is mediocre, the car itself is reliable, 50k miles - zero complaints, i just don’t like they way it drives….

No worries mate, that soft snow covered cedar brush did nothing to it, and never has on our hill tests. That tiny hill is difficult enough to keep a Toyota Sequoia from making it up. Thanks for watching 🤘
