As a first user smartphone, this handset really packs a punch with a few premium styled stand-out features .. A dedicated Night Mode Camera Setting is an excellent idea for outdoor events, indoor Arena concerts, and other outdoor opportunities, the integrated power/fingerprint scanner looks like a great idea and it looks to.have a very tactile finih on the case in general, screen size looks to be larger than average and as mentioned the quality of the grahics in Gaming and Video Rec/Playback at 1080p, gives this device all the stars for Quality at an exceptionally affordable price. Had an iPhone 13 pro before I got this Nokia. I had a Nokia 1140 black and green screen growing up and that thing was a beast. Just got the g100 128gb model at best buy for like 150 after my iphone broke and I'm happy to say that performance wise it's really zippy. Took a bit getting used to but I like it so far. Wish Nokia would've went Android from the beginning but nonetheless a game changer for the brand. Good job nokia

I went from Nokia 1.3 to G100 and the difference is stunning. But so far it's probably because of sluggishness and glitches of the preceding phone.

I know this is video is sponsoredby Nokia but if they let you keep the phone, would it be possible to do a long term review of it? Like use the phone on and off for 1 to 1.5 years (apply system updates, don’t factory reset, etc.) and then compare it to secondhand $200 midrangers/flagships. Historically, budget-tier phones and eMMC storage makes for an unusable phone 1 1/2 to 2 years down the road, so I’m curious if the G100 would be able to stand up after a year of use against a used midranger or flagship that’s using UFS storage. Especially the 32GB variant, having one that low makes me nervous for future performance

It’s been the #1 reason I have never been able to recommend a brand new $200 phone vs a secondhand midranger, because seeing the phone get slower and slower over the years as their usage didn’t change just sucks. It’s a waste of money and a major source of e-waste, so if a company has finally solved that issue, I will be gladly recommending it to those that just need a basic, simple smartphone.

I got this phone for my Grandma because she wanted a smart phone and this was in her budget. However I’m an iPhone user with a 13 Pro Max. It’s a nice phone I agree with that. However maybe it’s just me being an iPhone user and comparing it to my 13 pro max. It seems very sluggish for me. I used it to get use to it. That way I could teach my grandma. I just couldn’t deal with the lagging. I found myself frustrated a lot.

I've been trying to get my Dad away from his old Flip Phone for years. He just called me & said that he finally caved in & bought this phone! He 73yrs old & just makes calls. He has no idea what Texting is, or that you can email, surf the wed & watch videos on his phone! We're teaching him.. Tech is pushing him towards newer advanced Tech Gear. He had dial up Internet & they are changing that to Fiber, so he's gotta make these changes. It's so funny but he'll get it

I hate this phone, but since I got it free, I can't post a review anywhere but here. The camera is the worst I've had and I have had a ton of different phones. It takes forever to focus and the pictures come out blurry 90% of the time. The camera crashes after clicking to take a photo and the gallery will not show the picture. There are a bunch of blank squares in my gallery where a picture was supposed to have been taken but it cannot process them. There are no cases for it. I got a behind slipon case and the phone is always slipping and falling because of the case and tall, thin shape of the phone. I've never had blank pictures in my gallery until this phone. I just took about 15 pics of my baby and the only one that partially came out, was one wheiit hadn't focused yet on his face, so it is blurry. All the others were too blurry and had to be deleted. The phone is a horrible experience. I got it for free with a ton of data, whixh I use for selling my items, so I am going to keep it until I find something else. My previous phones are probably too old to handle what I need at this time.

You didn't say anything negative about that phone while customers have complained about fuzzy lens constantly reboots and loops. And thats the problem when companies offer their products for review. Your arms get tight. Your bias goes out the window.

Why would I complain about something that never happened to me? That makes zero sense. My experience is my experience and others have had the same as me. You say it’s a problem when devices are given out for free but I say there’s a problem with people looking for anything wrong with a video to complain about. People’s experiences vary and for the money there isn’t much to complain about on this phone except for software updates which I’ve learned after making the video. But even still, you can’t expect midrange or flagship performance or support from a sub $200 phone… getting a device for free has never been an issue because chances are the reviewers you look up to have been given devices for free. You have a bias towards creators if you think otherwise.

If it costs 169 (for 3 miserable gb of ram and 32 f*ing gb of storage) and 189 (for 4 gb) why u keep saying "This ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS smartphone"??? IT ISN'T. The design isn't modern, it looks like some motorola moto g's from 2018. Again, when you talk about the cameras, you keep saying "for a hundred dollars". Again, IT IS NOT. It costs almost the double. The video is lagging and stutters all over the place. The 662 is a 2017 soc, featured in phones like the Poco M3 that can be bought for 230$.

On Boost Mobile the phone is under $100 which is how much the model I’m using costs. The video is not misleading and 2018 is still pretty modern considering that’s only 5 years ago. As an example, Tesla barely changed the look of their Model S since 2012. For smartphones, Apple still repurposes smartphone designs similar to the iPhone X which guess what? Came out in 2018! The example you gave as a competitor is a leading phone brand in India and other non US countries. Plus, that’s over double the price of the model I’m using. Sounds to me like you’re looking for any and all reasons to hate the video. Which is fine so thanks and ✌️

i just copped it unlocked for 129USD including tax. and that's the 4gb/128gb version unlocked. for some reason thats less expensive than the 3gb/32gb? only time will tell. if you say the design isnt modern, then why is samsung using the same design?(mostly refering to the back) regardless i will update you on if thats the phone i end up getting from amazon. you never know. but i will admit, i thought it was weird for him calling it a 100 dollar phone. since its closer to 150 msrp for the base model. but regardless that was near what i was going to spend. still otherwise a good budget phone and competitors haven't switched to usb c at that price i just bought it. side note i was considering the Samsung Galaxy A03 core, but decided against it since it wasn't usb c, and was a bit slower. also for basic use 3gb should be fine tbh. OS shouldn't use no more than 2gb(scratch that, appearantly android 12 requires atleast 6 gb... im reading that the bare minimum is 2gb. thats fucking insane imo, not even windows 10 uses that much on a fresh install. they should have stayed on 10/11).

Ngl this deal was awesome. First initial impressions are its sluggish likely due to the eMMC storage, ram management isnt tight with 4gbs but i see that i only have 3.7gb total. But when the phone is idling you will still have around 1.8 or 2 gbs of ram free or 1.5 to 1.3 gb free on the 3gb model to use. So my concerns of it being too little ram is fine but if you are the type of person that likes to have 5 apps + a game open, android is going to kill something. This can run light games pretty decently. Again I can't argue for the price i got this phone, it's definitely a bargain. But this is a phone for a person who uses it for basic needs, like me.
