Is The Nokta Macro Legend Really Cut Out For Beach Detecting? Live Digs, Finds and Settings.

its Beach Week on the Mental Metal Channel. I took 4 metal detectors to the beach to test and try out. In this video, I'm using the Nokta Macro Legend to see how it does with the new 12x9 search coil. I'll show you live digs, my finds, and I'll share my settings at the end of the video. I just started hunting with the Legend and before that hunted with the double score which I think prepped me for the Legend. I can see if someone started out with the Legend it could be confusing!!! Once you learn the machine and get some hours under your belt it all comes together!!! If you want to pay another 800-1000 dollars on a manticor or deus 2 you might be happier and maybe I just might make that purchase one day but for now Im hunting with the Legand. Nice video sir!!!!

The Texan Detector just posted a beach hunt with his legend and found a whole table full of coins , jewelry and toy cars. So although the Legend is not in the same class as a Deus or manticore it is almost 1/3 of the price but is plenty capable on the beach if you know how to use it correctly.

Yep never said it wasn't capable. If you hunt with it long enough you can fill up any table.

I have been using the legend for almost 5 months. It's a pretty good machine and I have found more gold on the Legend than the deus 2. I have been using the deus 2 for almost 2 years. And have found a little gold. Going to sell my xp deus 2 and get another Legend. I like your videos though

Just recently went to the beach with the Legend. Horrible experience the thing wouldn’t stop jumping all over the place with signals.

Yep you might have to play around w/it a bit to get it quiet. Some beaches are different than others.

I have the D2 and manticore have not used my D2 much on the beach

I love my Manticore in the surf as much as the equinox. The equinox is a great machine when it's totally semerged (as long the warranty is good)

I keep recovery speed in the middle 4-6 I dont touch most of the setting gs you change I have them on the defaults I also havnt run pitch tones yet, I like having 60 tone, but I do plan to do some experimenting with pitch tones next time I'm in a less trashy site What exactly do iron filter and stability do? And audio gain makes deeper targets pop???

Enjoyed the video! I run your coin setup on my legend almost exclusively, and have had great results. Yet to do any serious beach hunting with it. Noticed you were at a MVC resort. Which one?

For the price it’s a great detector and built like a tank. I was disappointed in the low volume level when using the waterproof gray ghost headphones underwater. Maybe the nokta ones are better . The vibrate function helped . I just know my deus 2 with the bone conduction or the grey ghost can’t even be turned up all the way because they would cause hearing damage . The lg24 coil is great in the trash and iron . But like you on the beach or underwater its gonna be Deus 2. Thanks for the vid enjoyed them all so far.

How close it it to the depth of the Deus 2, or Manticore? I think I may stick with Deus two on the beach, may try Legend in the water?

You will get plenty of depth with the Legend, How much really depends on the setup etc.

HEY!!! so I just came across your channel and I did subscribe. I've owned a cheap detector now for a little while and saved some cash so I can buy 1 QUALITY MACHINE. I'm not gonna be buying detectors every couple months like some people but I want something good now. I have 2,500 for just the detector and would value your opinion on 1. I'm in nj on the east coast of the the states and looking for waterproof ocean proof, beach sand, and hard dirt detecting. What would you choose with 2,500 to spend(im not looking for value for money, I'm looking for the best I can get within 2,500 dollars)? A few people now tell me the manticore or deus 2 but leave it at that... I love to get your opinion on 1 or the other UNLESS YOU HAVE A DIFFERENT FAVORITE..... THANKS

If you really want the best, then this is what I would do. Buy the Deus 2 but the WS6 Setup with the 9" coil (its way cheaper than buying the remote version) and then get the Manticore. Or you do the other way around and buy the $1599 Deus2 w/remote and pick up the Equinox 900. Either way you can't go wrong with those machines.

I run the Legend. Jumpy signals are almost always open earrings. Makes sense right. I run recovery at 5, iron at 1, and stability at 3. All metal mode always. And anything 1-11 expect junk. It’s a great beginner machine and that might be why it doesn’t speak to you. I also now have the Deus II. Not a beginner machine. 😂 Thanks for the great videos!

100% disagree, I have Legend and Nox Machines, and both machines are great, it is all about settings. I have been out with a Desus II user who had a bad day and my Legend was kicking on the beach with an LG30 coil. Also great for relics. So what I am saying is that most machines are close to even.

I'd agree w/you on that. You just have to know how to tune them to the condition you are hunting in and a little luck walking over targets.

The machine does not make that much difference as long as it is water proof to at least 8to 10 ft but I will tell you if you get in the water and float a basket you will find 10 times more gold been doing this for 50 yrs the last time I sold my gold it was in a king Edward cigar box it so full l could not close the lid keep on diggin!😊

And the target at the end of the video is 15 something Mark is a Junk Target And after digging up ALOT of the Sand and it's a typical Notka Macro Product for having a great sounding target but is also a junk signal target... but I couldn't tell what it was....

I wouldn't knock Nokta it will find you targets on the beach and if you dig everything like I do, the other machines will do the same.

The reason your ear rings have a broken signal is due to the shape of the ear ring - it's not a complete circle / sphere so it'll come through as broken / jumpy........LMK when you go to the beach next time.....I'll tag along and be your hunting buddy.......then I'll disapear when you're not allowed to play anymore.....haha

Hmm I thought it might have to do with small iron clasp, cos the silver earring I found sounded good. You can be my hunting buddy anytime Tedy. My wife bails after she see's a turtle nest.

Just run Legend in park 2 full throttle recovery 3 ground balance run through the channel and I run strictly 60 tone s that’s the reason you are having problems speaking to you in one month I recovered thousands of dollars in jewelry if no one believes me be happy to prove it the only thing I can say I don’t live by any salt water so I can’t speak for the legend on that but on fresh water and in parks it’s a freaking jewelry magnet my wife is sure a happy camper as she took 2 of my diamond ring s lol

Thanks for that info that is certainly good to know. I really do like the machine. Its hard to put down the D2 and Manticore though but I do like it especially for the price and what you get for the money.

If you do not like the Legend don't do a video on it and especially when you never use it. It is like me doing a video on Desus II, when I use Nox and Legend all the time.
