I know that feeling you mean. For 30 years I have driven semi in Saskatchewan Canada winter and summer as well I drove ice roads for 5 of those years. It’s calming when it’s on the edge of what most would be terrified in. I would very much relish the chance to be on a capable ship in heavy seas. I get more impressed with Nordhavn with every video posted 🍻🇨🇦

How strong are the windows in the side of the hull. Can they handle hurricane class waves crashing against the hull or a careless captain trying to remodel the wharf?

The Norwegian Navy 77/78 understands you very well where the North Sea is something you have to experience in winter, STANAVFORLANT 78 with KNM Narvik, Nordhavn I hope there will be a day when I can sail across the North Sea with.

Imagine owning this vessel....that would be the ultimate dream.....exploring in both luxury and safety. Of course though, it's too big a boat for my license and also a tad beyond my budget....possibly in 10 years time I may have the budget for a used (but well loved and maintained) N40....and that would be bloody awesome for me! On another subject, you have an excellent voice for this type of thing. In fact, you should put a compilation together and get it out there to the TV & Radio stations. You may well discover a career you hadn't even panned upon. Even if you don't, just keep doing what you do....because it is excellent :)

NordHavn one of the best if not the best out there, there are videos of NordHavns going up through the Artic circle and further there are videos of NordHavns going down to Antarctica. NordHavns have literally been to every port on the planet and through every kind of weather and a few hurricanes 🌀.

The only thing I have a problem with nordhoven is a mate plastic boats and other words GRP they need to be made out of steel and very thick steel And if they were willing to work in steel I would be definitely all for a Nordhavin because every other aspect about it is great

Impressive boats. I particularly like the original 62' because it reminded me of the a proper North Sea Trawler. As a Scandinavian, by birth, I have one "small thing" that irritates me; the improper pronunciation of the name Nordhavn. It is not NORD HAVEN - it is NORDHAUN, with the au sound as in aw.

Holy shit! I thought it was odd that there appears to be only one N120 "in the wild", but I thought it was more of an owners' preference for the smaller hulls. My father was an industrial designer that specialized in metal sales and showed my mom what to look for in a new home. I remember the realtor taking us to newly built homes (upper middle class neighborhood in the 70s) and mom taking out a plastic triangle "square" and checking the walls. Few of the walls were square to each other, the basement already had water leakage, and on and on. Reading Conconi's website brought that back to mind; the build quality is...well...as a boy I remember seeing stuff that said "Made in Hong Kong" and relegating it to "junk". In this case, I'd relegate it to dangerous and deceptive. I had liked what I've see of the various models, but I think I'll stick with Bering...

I would just love to have someone be kind enough to donate something like this to me to use as my home. I'm capable of cleaning the hull and fill the tank and captain it myself and travel around the world. I'm 62 and will never be able to do something like that before I die. No ones that nice especially wealthy people. I would make it a retirement home so us over 62 could travel before we die.
