Is The Panasonic Lumix G6 A Smart Purchase In 2024?

Goood intro to the G6, thanks! I just picked one of these up, mainly because it was so cheap and I only have a DSLR, which is really too heavy to take anywhere. So, my question is, how did you manage with skin tones? I can't get skin tones I like, SOOC, on this one. I have to run portraits through lightroom. Any suggestions for getting good people photos right out of the camera?

Bought the G6 when it came out. Still have it. Excellent portable light camera. Thanks for reminding me to use it more.

I'm very much into Olympus Pen series cameras, however l bought an ''as new'' G6 a few weeks ago, mainly for the convenience of the viewfinder, plus the fact all my Olympus lenses fit!...l like the small dimensions and the ease of use...its not overly complicated. Regarding the 'rocker switch' and the wheel. in manual mode the rocker changes the aperture, the wheel the shutter speed...in other modes this varies....l don't use the camera for video, only stills, although l have a number of mic set-ups.... Rode.... for GoPro and DJl action cameras. So a bit of experimentation may be in the offing....Was this a good purchase ?, If you're not into all the latest tech....absolutely...Some fine examples are availably, mostly by those who want to buy into the latest tech/fad......

Thanks for your comment. Yeah the G6 is a great camera for stills and occasional video. Most people will find this to be a great purchase.

I had a g6 and loved it. Sadly it was stolen. Now a g9mki. Also gx9 for small carry. But this is nastolgic.
