Catchweight is 52 lbs and up contract match weight. Largest I’ve heard was 60 lbs conditioned weight but that is not to say there are not larger gamebred dogs. Remember that they are fought using Cajun Rules so the dogs are handled and as you commented on the strength and drive they have they would be exceedingly difficult to handle in a match at that weight. Chainweight (unconditioned weight) 30 lbs to 70 (maybe 75 lbs). 2.204 lbs per kilogram

They are usually easy-going with people. Not always but 95 percent or more of the time they are stable around humans. Around animals… *depends on the genetics of the dog* If it’s from gamedog (actual fighting dog bloodlines) it’s going to be very dog aggressive, usually. My first dog was one that got up to 72 lbs. He was EXTREMELY dog aggressive. He would SCREAM at other dogs and would bloody his nails on the asphalt to get to one. He did get along with the Poodle he was raised with and all puppies. Adult dog… touchy. If the dog showed *any* aggression he would have a mouthful and working it over. My late great uncle matched them and I spent a lot of time around him and the pups so I was very much aware of their general psychology, athletic ability and tendencies so my experience was never that of a novice. In my opinion they are not dogs for novices or for people who believe they are “nanny dogs” or think they have to be abused to want to fight. They will be in for a very rude awakening when their Bulldog kills the neighbor’s Lab…

Good video. One quick note regarding catchweight pitbulls. They are minimum 25 kg and can get large as 35 kg although 30 kg is probably near the range most catchweights will be. Too big (40+ kg) are sloppy and not as good as smaller counterparts
