I have been a long term fan of the Polaris RZR, so I was pumped when we had the opportunity to test out the new RZR XP 4 1000. Oh, and don't worry Can-Am fans, that doesn't mean I don't also like the maverick!
I was pretty skeptical going into testing the new RZR XP 4 seater as I had never actually driven a 4 seater because they have never really appealed to me. They just always seemed so long and cumbersome. Well, this Polaris RZR XP Review quickly proved my theory wrong! We had a blast in this beast and it exceeded my expectations in multiple different areas.
The biggest flaw I found, the turning radius. It's nothing short of terrible! The biggest thing that amazed me, how even with the extra size and weight it could handle the trails and quickly pick up speed. Sure, turning sucked. Otherwise, though it handled and felt great to drive, which I hadn't expected.

I just got one and love it, 110HP is more than enough! It can spin out all 4 tires already, so I can't see the need for more power, and I came from a sportsman 850 ultimate trail which is actually less capable. The SxS tows out the sportsman non stop, I am very impressed!

Great video. I am between a xp 4 1000 sport (22,100) and pro xp 4 sport ($23700) I think for the price the pro is a no brainer for the roomier seats alone.

They need to seriously add an optional rear steer assist to these limousines so when you're on tighter trails, you hit a switch that activates a rear steering along with the front steering to make navigating sharp turns and corners much easier......

Great review, just what I was looking for .I just got back from an ATV trip and I'm looking to upgrade from my Polaris predator (so much fun, so much pain). I have 2 kids and this looked like a good idea, but dang that price. To cost as much as the full size truck I'd be using to pull it just boggles my mind. That and the turning radius issue is almost a deal breaker. I ride a lot of twisty trails in northern Wisconsin and although I see a million of these out, I doubt they can fit on all of the trails I ride. Looks like I'm back to my original plan of 2 570 touring machines, that way me n the wife won't argue who's driving and I'll save 10k bucks

If I was getting a 4 seater, I'd go for the Maverick X3 turbo. But the RS1 is easily the best if you don't care for having passengers.

I had my eyes set on that X3 too, especially because where I’m located, the closest Polaris dealership is 400km (250mi) away. The biggest determining factor (although there were many small reasons too) for us was the length of the machine. The X3 4 seater has a 18” longer wheelbase than the XP 1000. The maverick X3 4 seater has the same wheel base as a Chevy suburban. Talk about bad turn radius, that’s atrocious. It would be fantastic in the dunes, but I couldn’t bring myself to take the risk in the trails.

We started out with the 2011 Robbie Gordon 4 seat and find it to be very adequate. Would I rock crawl in it with passengers in the back? No. It's fun.

My dad is getting one of these and to all the people who are wondering should you buy this yes you should unless you wanna pay for Can-Am razors I can start off as 30,000 the most expensive one I’ve seen was $68,000 or do you want to pay 22,000 for this razor

Later on in the video he states that oh you can only see the seat in front of you well that’s the thing usually children are the ones sitting in the back and if you’re a grown man you can definitely see over the seat

The legroom isn’t too bad either usually when we go out for trails on my uncles razor even the adults it might be a little bit tricky for them but yet again it adds to the safety

I really wanted the Talon 4 too!, but i got too good a deal on a Rzr 1000 s4. So far no buyers remorse and 60" works best for where i am anyways but hopefully next time ill get the Talon

Considering selling my Kawasaki krx 1000 for the 4 seater in copper color hope I don’t regret it have appointment for next week end to look at one I want a 4 seater so my friends that don’t have a side by side can come along with me and my wife or just to take more friends I’ve heard bad things about Polaris but I think it all boils down to how your gonna treat your machine anyways great video

How do you feel about upgrading a Polaris Ranger Highlighter XP 1000's suspension? We bought this a few weeks ago because we have an 8 year old and needed the bench seat. Would you trade for a RZR and get a bump seat and forget trying to upgrade the Ranger's suspension? I don't really want to get a 4 seater RZR.

The Sport comes without the Lower doors. It's 1000 bucks here where i am to have them put in. The turning radius is crap!
