Thank you for doing due diligence. What's crazy is she has been in the hair game for a long time AND has her own product line but failed to do basic research concerning this. I'm honestly surprised she's the one that did this. Oh and by the way, REVLON themselves still sell it on their website. Not sure how she missed that. Their website would be the first place I would check.

I washed and blow dried my hair yesterday and didn’t use the Revlon Brush Dryer because I watched the video and was scared it was going to catch fire. I actually commented on her video because i dug a little and noticed the overseas bit, and there is a voltage conversion when in Europe, etc... so sometimes things do heat up when manufactured for one current/voltage and being used on another. Just wanted to put it there cuz i use this dryer and have for YEARS. I'll keep an eye out, but took the vid with a grain of salt. I'm not an engineer like you tho--just a regular person 🙂 Great that you checked even deeper!

An important reminder to put on our critical thinking hats and not take everything at face value! Unfortunately people will (intentionally or unintentionally) share misinformation. I'm outside of the US and a quick search shows this tool is available albeit mostly the round brush version. What I'm seeing about the recall is similar, mostly about the BrushX product.

I saw the same influencer's video and had similar questions and started checking as well! I hope that we have learned this past year how important it is to report accurate information! People trust what is said by many influencers! They in turn will share that same information w/o checking whether it is true or not! Revlon is a big company and when one doesn't check their resources, they can put themselves in a position of liability for giving false information!

Thank you for clearing some stuff up in your video ❤️❤️ but what is strange to me is that in the revlon website there is now no sign of any hair styling/drying products having ever been there? I mean i’m unsure if the fact that i’m in Europe has anything to do with that but in the official website there just isn’t anything about hair products like that? Only hair dyes and such. I was the first to advise people to do their research about the "recall" in the comment section of the video. After watching the video or as I was watching it, I did a search for the dryer and found it within 2 minutes. The video is just irresponsible and makes me think differently about her. She had to have seen my comment and the others that came after me, but yet the video still remains up. Given that she herself is a business owner, I don't think she would like it if rumors were to start about her products. Again, the video is simply irresponsible, if you are going to put that type of video out, when you have over a million subscribers, you should do your due diligence and make sure that what you are saying is the truth and given that it was easy for me, you and others to find that there is no recall on the paddle brush, it just doesn't appear she did any research at all.

Thats wild. i got that dryer in july off amazon. used ever since. the only thing i noticed about it was it does feel like its over heating a bit despite it only being on low heat. I just took the video with a grain of salt anyway since im still learning how to take care of my hair. Figured i would just keep an eye on it.
