Amazing Dr. Zakir Naik. I have reverted to Islam from hinduism because Islam is the most logically perfect religion in this world and I believe every sensible person should follow the guidance of glorious Quran since it's pure and can't be edited like other scriptures. Proud to be a Muslim. ALLAHU AKBAR.

It is not corruption of text, since there is no change in Arabic text. Sahih international hasn't done good job in some other verses too. But if you just translate it as simple light, that is not justified too. In English, light is just light. But in Arabic, in the same verse, Allah used two different words "diya" and "nur" to describe light, because there is difference. "He it is who has made the sun a "diya" and the moon a "nur" (Quran 10:5) "Nur"=Only Light "Diya"-Light Source So, if you translate as "Sun is light, Moon is also light", that is NOT justice. Let me give you some other example of how these 2 words are used in Quran. Diya= Light emitting soul (28:71), fire (2:17), lightening (of thunder) (2:20), Furqaan/Criterion that sheds light on other (21:48). So, It is always a source of light. Nur= "do the darkness and the light equate?" (13:16), "He brings them out of the darkness and into the light" (2:257), "A guiding light has come to you from God" (5:15), "Who made the darkness and the light" (6:1), "follow the light that was sent down with him" (7:157) etc. [Don't be confused with "nar", which is fire] So, if you look at the above verses, "nur" is just simple light that guides us by eliminating darkness (look at the picture). So, the closer translation of 10:5 can be: "He it is who has made the sun a radiating light and the moon a guiding light (Quran 10:5) Moon emits just the "light"/nur to provide guidance at night, but it is not itself source/"diya". I do not support "derived light" because "nur" is used for God too. And God can not have derived light. Many of us use this word, we should be careful. "They want to extinguish God's (guiding) light ("Nur").." (Quran 61:8) God is the light ("Nur") of heaven and earth...an olive-tree that is neither of the east nor of the west the oil whereof [is so bright that it] would well-nigh give light [of itself] ("Diya") even though fire had not touched it. (Quran 24:35) This is the second verse in Quran where "diya" and "nur" is used together to distinguish the meaning, God is very precise in his wording. "..(such is) the artistry of God, who disposes of all things in perfect order.." (Quran 27:88) Edit: There is another verse of Quran that indicates moon conveys sun's light. CONSIDER the sun and its radiant brightness, and the moon as it reflects ("talāhā) the sun (Quran 91: 1-2) Some translators used the word "follows" to translate the word "talaha". The root of this word has various meanings such as "imitate". Ta-Lam-Waw To follow, walk behind, imitate, pursue, consecutive. To read, recite, peruse, rehearse, declare, meditate. Sought repeatedly, collect. Bond or obligation. One who relieves or aids another in singing. Moon doesn't orbit around the sun physically but imitate it's function at night by giving light. It indeed, CONVEYS the sun's own light to us when the Sun is staying at the opposite side of the globe at night. Let's look at some other verses having the same verb: Say: "Had God willed it (otherwise], I would not have CONVEYED ("talawtuhu") this [divine writ] unto you (Quran 10:16) Those who have been given this book, they tilawaath it in honest way, and these are the people who have trust in the book. (translation from lughat-ul-quran, Quran 2:221) Definitely you don't walk behind a holy scripture. Do you? The word means not only recitation of a message but imitating it in the behavior by obeying the message (Source: Lughat-ul-Quran by quoting 2:221, 37:3, 2:102). Thus the verse is saying that the Moon is just imitating the function of Sun at night by CONVEYING it's light to us, not physically moving around it. This is reflected in various translations of this verse. And the Moon that comes after it (The Monotheist Group) And the moon that trails its light (Munir Munshey) And by the moon as it reflects it (Mohammad Shafi) and the moon when it reflects it (Mir Aneesuddin) And (by) the moon when it ensues it (Mahmoud Ghali)

Quran does NOT say that moonlight is reflected light. In chapter 10, verse 5, "Noor" or "Munir" only means light/shine/radiance not derived/borrowed/reflected light. Kindly see for yourself in any Arabic to English dictionary. The earlier English translations of Quran such as Pickthall's do not mention that moonlight is a reflection. Only the Sahih International translation is nowadays ADDING the word "derived light" to forcefully reconcile the Quran with science. Kindly go to quran.com to check this as translations from different authors are available there.

In Quran when describing the Sun most of the time the word siraj is used. Siraj means a lamp. Lamps ofcourse make their own light as a source of light. But the word siraj is not used for moon. However both sun and moon can also be figuratively called as lights like dhiya and noor. “And made the moon a light (Nur) in their midst, and made the sun as a (Glorious) Lamp (Siraj)“ [Nuh 71:16]. - “Blessed is He Who made constellations in the skies, and placed therein a Lamp (Siraj) and a Moon giving light (Muneer)“ [Al-Furqan 25:61]. - “And We made a glowinì (Siraj Wahhaj)“ [Al-Naba’a 78:13].

@@manish_shrivastav yet neither of those two words for light signify levels of intensity. There can be a very weak siraaj (lamp) as there can be an extremely strong noor. That still does not answer why there is two different descriptions of light mentioned for both.

I have some doubts... for your convenience I have listed them in points. The points are what you have said in this video, and below them are my comments as refutation to them and why I don't find them convincing enough to believe you. DISCLAIMER: I do not intend to personally hurt any sentiments on grounds of provocative statements, although I might refute many of your arguments on grounds of rationality which might hurt your sentiments (for which I don't care) 1. He never claimed the authorship of Qur'an. For his theory to be consistent . Had he not disclaimed, he wouldn't have been that famous (100 influential), he would have been just another poet or philosopher. 2. He Al-Ameen Well, only Islamic Chroniclers say that, they will be biased. Although this is not a strong point I agree. Never a single lie reported. Who were the reporters???? 3. Why should he lie? He was ridiculed by the current system and he wanted earth to be a better place to live, so he framed a theory, so that people will be good. 4. Luxurious Life? For his theory to be consistent. Even Gandhi practiced such philosophy. 5. Vow to those…. Just to gain confidence of his people. 6. Simplicity For his theory to be consistent. Even Faraday was simple. Even Gandhi listened to everyone and replied to everyone. 7. Arab Unity & Liberation Theory He was a visionary chap, he wanted to unite the whole Mankind. 8. Why should a person lie? He had no other choice left. 9. You quote Qur'an always… saying this is what he said , why would he go against it. Well how many marriages does Qur'an allow…. And how many he did...

Totally wrong about Bible..if you think this..then you think Quran is wrong also..you thus utterly fail as a Muslim, and may as well give up right here and now!!! ....Spread these TRUTHS to the rest of your ignorant people... Contrary to Muslim opinion, the Quran and the very first Muslims did NOT believe that the text of the Holy Bible had been corrupted.... These are all passages CONFIRMING the validity of the Bible...the Quran explictly states that it comes to CONFIRM the previous Scriptures of the previous prophets and messengers... They said: O our people! we have listened to a Book revealed after Musa verifying that which IS before it, guiding to the truth and to a right path: S. 46:30 Shakir. See these also, where it CONFIRMS the previous Scriptures of the previous prophets and messengers...........(S. 2:41) (S. 2:89) (S. 2:91) (S. 2:97) (S. 2:101) ( S. 3:81) (S. 4:47) (S. 5:48) (S. 6:92) (S. 10:37) (S. 12:111) (S. 37:37) (S. 46:12) The Quran says that the Revelation which the Jews and Christians have in their very own possessions (the Holy Bible), was God's TRUE and PRESERVED Word, and that the function of the Quran was to CONFIRM them.... Spread this news to all other Muslims, especially to all the little "Naik Clones"

RobbeyT,excuse my intrusion but I wish to clarify some points: When Allah, the mighty God, talks in the Qur'an about "AL Injil", translated closely to "Gospel" (bible, comes from the greek biblios which means the book), and a muslim is not a muslim unless he believes in it and it's message, Allah talks about his "original" Injil (Gospel) that he has revealed. As it's known, the bible or the Gospel now is far from being the "original", it contains more than 50.000 concotions and fabrications, and let's not talk about the "the bible according to" thing. The eldest "codexes" are dated from the 4th,5th and 6th century, and even them are not even a copy of a copy of copy of a copy of a copy, the modern Bibles are taken and translated from a bible dated in the 10th century translated several times before that... A book sent by Allah, (Torah, Zabour, Injil, Qur'an) should remain, readed, learned, understood, in it's original language and form so there could all the true message be spread without changes, misconceptions, conconctions, altérations and devations. Each one of them completes the previous, and the last one completes them all without denying any one of them, but to confirm what has been revealed before. As Jesus, peace be upon him said, O israel do not think i came to destroy ( the law or Torah), but i came to fulfill; and all the prophets said the same thing about previous messages that is " surrender, obey and submit totally to the will of the only and one almighty God" (that is shortly the meaning of "Islam" by the way). Therefore, the Qur'an, that has remained in it's original form after 1400 years without any one change on words letters or even comas, is the only book that do not deny any of the revelations and is in it's original form and confirms all the "original" books sent by Allah but have been lost in earth.A muslim, one who submited obey, and surrendered to the only God, and as i said isn't one if he do not believe in them, and if the originals have remained till our days all the muslims would take guidance from them as they follow the Quran the last and complete revelation. Hope that answers your issue brother, I'm not trying to convince you and God is witness as he knows what the hearts hide, but all I said you can look for it, and I pray that Allah, the mercifull, guides you to the straight path if your heart is only about truth and not having "right" by all meanings risking to reject truth while knowing that ; as Allah said "there's no repulsion in the religion" so there's no obligation and forcing you to believe and so it has to be sincere, and Allah said " you do not guide to the straight path who you wished to guide , but Allah guide who he wants" so there's no forcing to convince as your heart is the only who has to be sincere in seeking the truth so that the Omnipresent can guide you then.

Allah sent his "sons" to die for him. Yahweh(God)sent His only begotten Son into the world to die for the sins of humanity. As soon as Jew, Muslim, and Gentile alike turn to the Lord Jesus Christ and believe Him for who He is, there will be peace in the land. Craig do you even Know what the word "Begotten" means! If you did you would not be saying that because what you are saying even the Christian scholars who revise over the bible, who study it, disagree with this in the bible and they have rid the bible of it. By saying the Jesus (peace be upon him) is god's BEGOTTEN son is like your saying that God HIMSELF had sex with Mary (peace be upon her) and that they had a child together. Subhanallah! Now at reading this you would be disgusted but that is what you are saying. Let me give you are similtude, okay so if a 40 year old man said to you: son please come here. you would more or less listen to him. However if he said to you: BEGOTTEN son come here. you might hurt him as he is saying that he had sex with your mother. think over that

Are you implying that the term is being used in reference to a physical encounter? People cannot discern the things of God because they live according to the flesh which is enmity with God. If you knew God and had the Holy Spirit living inside of you, then you wouldn't be challenging the word of God. As the Pharisees were, you also are bound up in religion. Islam, like Roman Catholicism have a "form" of godliness, but are organized man-centered systems designed to entrap and deceive its members into thinking that they are right with God, but there still remains a separation between Him(God). Without trusting in the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ, you have no salvation. You need to believe upon Him and be born again from above to be saved. If you stand before a holy God as you are without Christ, He will cast you straight into hell. I say this with love friend because I don't want to see people being deceived and misled, and this is what religion does. There is a reason why Jesus calls Satan the "god of this age" and the "prince of this world", because he is a deceiver. Repent and trust in Jesus Christ alone. He died for you that you might live for Him! What has Muhammad done for you? Think about that.

craigdoc29 Brother if you think Jesus Christ was died for the sins of humanity, then we can do sins now freely because Jesus has already died for our sins..... It is like, my friend says to me that I paid the bill for whatever you are going to eat for lifetime in any particular hotel and then he says that you can't have ice cream or you cannot have chicken biryani, Coz I didn't pay for those things, what kind of logic comes out from this.... And according to the pastor ruckonuddin pio, he said that some sins can't be wiped, some sins remains with you, and you will be punished for them, then it means that Jesus Christ too can't clear those sins.. Then for what jesus christ was crucified??

if Allah is the greatest.... then why does he need people like Naik, Deedad to defend him.? this means Allah is no god.. he is not the creator... in fact he is the creation of Mohammad.

+Hanif Ahmad so if God is supervisor and he dosn't talk with us during exam, n this life is the test, then y u need school peon (naik) to tell u answers? this is test n u need to pass it alone. u r infact cheating ur teacher and the peon is also cheating the teacher.. if teacher gets to know this he will be super angry on both of u.
