Sorry but I cannot believe that a book which says that one man can marry a maximum of 4 wives is the word of God. But a woman under no circumstance can have more than 1 husband. I cannot believe God can say such a thing. And why 4 ? why not 3 or 5 ? Well this so called divine revelation came when captured widows and girls were to be distributed among muslim soldiers. And they needed a guidance. And bingo ! came the revelation to ensure the generals don't take dozens of women and the ordinary soldiers also get a fair share. I challenge any muslim to tell me that this is not correct. I have exact quotations.
@namesame
@namesame 2 жыл бұрын
@@caesar_cipher Actually it's more depressing. The Quranic verses say you can marry up to 4 Muslim women (women who have converted to Islam), and "as many as your right hand possess". The phrase is meant for captive girls from other tribes who haven't yet converted to Islam, or such sex slaves "righteously" purchased from captive sex slave market. Islamic apologists says such practices were followed in those times everywhere, that's simply not true. As an example, buddhist literature that is 2500 years old puts trading human beings as a forbidden trade. Search the web for "buddhism 5 forbidden trades".

The prophets of the Torah from the Old Testament the same prophets largely of later Islam all prophesy very accurately 1000 years before all recorded in Jewish law and texts the crucifixion of the Messiah . Even the Quran states in clear terms the gospel and the Torah are the word of God . Not once does Muhammad ever have proof of his claims . Nor does he ever work wonders . Nor is there any prophecy being fulfilled from the Torah into the Quran .

The Quran has had revisions before. Most of other Quran versions were burned because they had variations from the authorized version that Muslims have today. A quick google search will reveal this. As far as the Bible, we have ancient texts that shows that it has not been “corrupted” as Muhammad said.

They're obliged to do that with their prophet Muhammad, they place so much emphasis on him it becomes a form of worship. Muslims say they worship God alone but that's not true. They worship Muhammad, not just in prayer but in everything they do in life. They say he was the most perfect man and therefore must be emulated in every aspect of their lives. That makes it worship. And We send not the Messengers except as giver of glad tidings and warners. But those who disbelieve, dispute with false argument, in order to refute the truth thereby. And they treat My Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), and that with which they are warned, as jest and mockery! 57. And who does more wrong than he who is reminded of the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of his Lord, but turns away from them forgetting what (deeds) his hands have sent forth. Truly, We have set veils over their hearts lest they should understand this (the Qur'an), and in their ears, deafness. And if you (O Muhammad ) call them to guidance, even then they will never be guided.

Islam says that there was only one religion since the first human being came on earth and that was “submitting to God”. Prophets came to Earth to preach the same message. Prophet Muhammad came to an idolator society of Arabia to convey the same message and got rid of idolatory from Arabia and re established pure monotheism. Since he was supposed to be the last Prophet as the Quran claims, the Quran also clarified Jesus’s position and Trinity although Christianity wasn’t the predominant theology in Arabia at the time.

@@LadyGoldenLake "have been edited, and some forgotten. This is not a controversial idea" --- Indeed. I am not a fundamentalist. Classical theology does not rely on an immaculate transmission of scripture. Rather, the central narrative of all scripture, Old or New Testament, is the person of Christ. That narrative is not susceptible to copying errors as it fills the entire body of scripture. One needs to discard or re-write that entire body of work to erase that narrative. The Quran is such a project. Peace be with you.

Yet, we recognize genius in Newton and Euclid and do well to attend to their insights. Einstein does not refute his predecessors, but builds upon their insights, and in like manner do Feynman and Nima. Knowledge grows by accretion. Now if some poor math student comes along and tosses your math textbook in the bin because he cannot comprehend it, then go about to invent his own half-plagiarized maths in direct contradiction to logic... we would not lend any credence to such a project. With all due respect, asking an imam to talk about Islam is like asking a public relations officer to criticize his product he's intending to sell. You'll only hear good things about the product. What I don't like about Islam is how with impunity it can claim Judaism and Christianity to be inferior, to be "corrupted" when Islam is basically a plagiarism of those two prior religions. How arrogant can that be. The way I see it, monotheism became a popular tool to unite fragmented tribal groups, it gave them a sense of a grand purpose, yet in a modern globalized world conflict between major religions is inevitable since each of them claim to be the most righteous and think that others are inferior.

The point you’ve raised has nothing to do with my aforementioned issue: if the verses written were 100% accurate and objective construals, of which I’m pretty confident weren’t. (Which could be seen through the contradictory teachings conveyed in Quran, the fact that different people contributed to the writing of the verses and a lot had access to the yet developing book - an effortless opportunity to skew the verses in favor of particular authoritarian agendas). The issue is not with the truthfulness of the intergenerational memorization of Quran but the very writing of it.

It's also an acknowledgement of ones minute importance in life knowing that they truly don't have the ability to grant peace but maybe those few words may add to the possibility. I am not a Muslim but that's how it comes off to me. Regardless it is a very kind thing to say and if you have a problem with it you should really question why......I assume as an "atheist" you have a reverence for science a small understanding of physics would tell you that your thoughts ie words have more power than just being sounds coming out of your mouth. Nothing is pure, you pick the religion you want to rock with but don't think for a minute that your texts are any more legitimate than others.

I like to think about it this way, "truth" can only be one. If you believe in God, if you believe that God created you with a purpose, then surely you must seek God & the purpose of your life. You can't settle down with anything less than truth. If no religion has the truth & relying on science would be too late, then are we going to live & die a meaningless life? I am sure you already know how scriptures of other religions don't hold candle to Quran still you would insist on your doubts, but maybe that's your journey, maybe when you do accept the truth you would be more certain than average Muslims, your Imaan will be stronger. Lastly I can say rocking with Islam is the best, I wouldn't rock any other way :) May God guide you brother/sister.

People were on the correct path, they all were monotheists, i.e. worshipping none but the Creator. But they deviated, invented new ideas into the religion, worshipped others, distorted the religion. So God sent messengers to guide people back to the straight path. God said: And I did not create the jinns and humans except to worship Me. Quran 51:56 And He, the most high, said: And We certainly sent into every nation a messenger, [saying], "Worship God and avoid Taghut (Taghut: Anything worshipped other than God.)" Quran 16:36. All kinds of worship must be for God alone. So, asking Jesus, Muhammad or “saints” for help is polytheism. Note: Muslim scholars have criticized Omar Suleiman. He is just a speaker not a scholar of Islam. So beware.

why I think quran may not be word of true God 1. Quran is not a message came directly from GOD. Instead the most important final revelation came to an Arabic Marchent in Hira Cave from Angel Gabriel. There is no eyewitness and Muhummad was not sure , whether it is actually Gabriel or not. Muhummad can also attributed his own idea to God. Quran was not written by Muhummad or in lifetime of Muhummad. Its authencity depend on the people who memorize the Quran and if they transmitted in correctly. Utman also burn other version of Quran ( as there are multiple version) and Muhummad was not alive when Utman selected a version of Quran which he seems appropriate. But if you look on Old Testament, all the message from God came directly from God to various Prophet (See Exodus) and in New testament God himself preach message in human form. Why the final revelation certainly came through an Angel not directly from God? Muhummad never seen God unlike Bibilical prophet and yet most important final revelation given to Muhummad through Gabriel. 2.Quran Cannot be Combined with Bible. The Christian Bible is a combination of Old Testament (Torah/Tanak) and New Testament, and both Old Testament and New Testament support each other. New Testament dosenot invalidate the Old Testament, but complement it by fulfilling the prophsecy of Old Testament. But Quran, being a small book, Cannot be put with Bible together because it contradicts with Bible teaching and fact. Why God Contradict with himself? 3. Why Final Revelation message has to be dependent on Arabic language? It is undeniable fact, that to understand the Quran in its full potential, you have to read it in Arabic. But in case of Bible, if you translate it in any language , it will be same as Hebrew or Greek Bible. Why Final revelation from God, has a dependency on specific language. 4. Absense of any Good work or Miracle from God either in Quran or Hadith. While in Bible , both New and Old Testament, the Message and Miracle and Good work, happened side by side. Miracle in Bible is actually evidence , that the messages are genuinely from God. Which is totally missing in case of Islam. 5.What was Muhummad relegion before he got the message from Gabriel. Surely he was not Jews or Christian, following the command of same God he preached, but worshipping Moon God Baal and Kaba was the temple of HuBaal. 6. Galatians 1: 8-"But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse!" An Angel preach to Mahumaad a different Gospel than Bible. 7."1 John 2:22 Who is the liar? It is whoever denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a person is the antichrist-denying the Father and the Son. 23 No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also." -Quran is totally denying this as it dosenot accept Jesus is the Son of God.

The Vedic scriptures are from pre-Panini era. Therefore, the grammar is actually beyond the confines of Panini`s rules. While the scriptures contain many interesting checks and balances to ensure that words and the intonations are passed on as it is, they have been affected by accents and regional variations of pronunciations. Also, it is believed that we are left with only a small fraction of the scriptures that we originally had. Secondly, the Vedas are very abstract, they are compared to the milk, while the Upanishads, puranas and the Itihasas (mahabharata and ramayana) are compared to its derivatives like curd, paneer, ghee etc. You would not find mentions of advents like Rama or Krishna in the Vedas. Even the very common mantra of Rudram, is not a matching description to Shiva. However, people in search of something more concrete though the abstraction or for whatever reasons, have added verses to the Vedas and today they are chanted with those verses. For example : Namaste astu bhagawan vishweshwaraaya, mahadevaaya … is an addition in rudram. Thirdly, the writing of Vedas in different vernacular scripts. Not all languages have as many sounds and syllables as Sanskrit. With people transliterating Vedic hyms into other languages like Gujrati, Tamil etc we tend to lose out on the exact word and its pronunciation. Tamil probably has a single letter for the entire varga in sanskrit. Let`s say ‘throwpathy’ and ‘drowpady’ will have the same spelling in Tamil. Similar issues with writing in English. When you look at the mantras of Sāmaveda which are usually sourced from the Ṛgveda. There are about 75 (yoni) mantras in the Sāmaveda without the original Ṛgvedic source. And some Sāmagāna mantras, that are actually sung, without the corresponding yoni (source) mantras. These are only a few reasons and instances that show that they indeed have been changed.

30 seconds in and he already made a lie lmao, in Islam, it is not believed the word of god was given to the gospels, it is believed that it was only given to Jesus an he then wrote it down as the holy bible. That’s just one more stupid historical mistake that’s in the Quran

This guy is more an of an Ustad, a teacher of Islam. Again, do your research and don't just argue for argument sake because you may mislead people. May Allah guide us all.

@muneebiqbal5584 you're right: he gives NO reasons the Quran is true. I was being too generous. He does imply, though, that the recency of the revelation, as compared to the Bible and Torah, mean it has been preserved better, and in that sense is more "true", at least to the original.
