I'm Aryaan btw 😂 Thank you for your help and the reply. I do know that the r6 is aggressive. Also I won't be doing track days only low speed riding and heard it gets hotter than other 600cc since where i live summers are 35c or more. It's not that i don't like how the CBR looks, it's a good looking bike but the r6 just has more aggressive styling and the sexy pointy tail 😘

Get engine ice or get the ecu tuned to turn the fan on earlier.

You want an R6 below 10k miles, Yamaha R6's are prone to needing early valve jobs since their power is made at redline so people trash them frequently, the metals Yamaha uses for their bike parts wear faster than other manufacturers, a good example: wheel spacers, brake caliper pins, drain plugs = they all warp or bend SUPER fast, after about 4k miles I have replaced a LOT of these parts from constant wear that I have never seen on any of the manufacturers. That said, the R6 is the fastest 600 for the track, so if you are doing trackdays the early maintenance is worth it. That said as an R6 owner who has street ridden and tracked my R6, the R6 is only fun on track and 100% not worth street riding. The bike simply sucks for the street, the power is dogged below 10k which is where most street riding takes place, the ergos of the bike are designed to be in track body positions. Reliable street 600s that offer comfort: get a GSXR 2011 and up to avoid stator rectifier issues from the previous gen bikes, or a 2013-2019 zx6r, since they look better, the torque with the extra 36ccs makes for easier street riding, and the ergos are relatively comfortable. Sincerely an R6 owner who has been blessed enough to have had EVERY 600cc bike from every jap manufacturer. because thats what happens when you track, you buy a lot of bikes and go poor lol. No track = dont waste your time and money on the R6.

I had the same model 600RR as you in matte black with a red Luimoto seat cover and i loved the way it looked. EVERYWHERE I WENT I GOT COMPLIMENTS. 😢It was stolen. They kicked in my garage panels and cut a chain and 2 cables while i was on vacation. One of the saddest days of my life!

As far as the rearsets are concerned, I love woodcrafts on my mt10. I was able to retain the rear brake light sensor without having to swap to a pressure-style sensor, even though the literature said that I couldn't. Perfect blend of grip vs treadwear on my boots. I love vortex for how aggressively grippy they are, but it will rip your soles apart.

Everyone should ride their bike with their current exhaust with no helmet just once, and wring it out, because if you always wear a helmet many have no idea how loud their bike truly is

If anytime considering buying a 15 year old bike the number one priority is the service history and how the forks feel. The Honda reliability can be misleading as owners just expect them to last and some don’t receive the attention all bikes require which will involve costly repairs for the next rider.

The Seats on older bikes date them more than almost anything else. Am I crazy for thinking reupholstering it to a more modern material that isn’t cheap Leather or vinyl will go a long way?

The only valid reason to lowering a bike, in my opinion, is if you're also doing an extended swing arm mod and complete drag set up. I'm personally not really into that sort of stuff but it seems to be functional, also lowering because of hight seems to me counterintuitive especially since most aren't even really short, like if you're 5 foot and a bit than yeah go ahead, but if you're 5 foot 7 why? Marc Marquez is 5 foot 7 and kicks ass in motogp and doesn't need no lowered bike.

I agree! I'm 5'8 and have zero issues on any sport bike. Adventure bikes are a different story though. lol

It holds the bike down from the axle so the bike is completely secure. You have to buy your bike-specific pin to make it work, they sell for a ton of different bikes so you'll have to check their site and see if yours is listed.

Somebody recommend me mirrors for cbr 600 rr 2008. Turn signals not required, but could be cool. No ultracheap that you cant see anything from. HeroRRs mirrors are just alittle too bulgy for my taste.
