 I gotta say the r7 has got to be the most gutless middleweight bikes out there. To be fair it has good torque and street ability. But most my shop agrees that the motor and the power doesn’t match the bike or the style. For me I would go rs660 but the Daytona does a good job in the top end keeping up with my 600rr to a decent degree.

My top 5 would be 1.Exhaust - everyone who rides loves the sound and its safer to be heard 2.Tyres, braided lines and sintered pads - a bike is only as good as its tyres and brakes. If the bike you bought or have already has good brakes and tyres then I'd look into a quick shifter, smooth effortless gear changes 3. Led headlight bulbs and turn signals bulbs - be seen and able to see, most older bikes have terrible lighting and barely able to see what's in front on a dark unlit road 4. Zero gravity corsa windscreen - gets the air flowing over you and more enjoyable ride, less wind noise easier to tuck, less rider fatigue 5. Aftermarket seat - more grippy, more comfy makes the ride far more enjoyable and more control over the bike, also less rider fatigue There are for sure many other mods to do, but those are my top 5 that I've done on my k5 1000. After owning a s1000rr and getting rear ended I bought the k5 and tried to get it to feel more like the s1000rr and with those mods it definitely helps

Her fear is understandable. A lot can happen, and motorcycles don't offer a lot of protection. It does show, she does care about you. But choosing to live in fear is not a way to live life. It will lead to misery, and whole slew of other personal internal conflict, that just isn't fun in the long term. I have met people who are just down right angry all the time, because they are controlled by fear. And one persons fear, should not control the path of others. If that were the case, we would have no military at all.

Fantastic comparison! I own a 2023 636, and just recently bought a 2024 Aprilia RS 660. Two totally different machines. If you want to upgrade? I say get the RS 660, but if you want your next bike to be your bike for the next 5 years??? Get the ZX6R 🙂 I love both my bikes, but the 636 puts a smile on my face every time i ride it 🙂 The RS 660 is Amazing with Eletronic's, but the 636 just has so much power for a 600 class bike.

The new wires are a MUCH bigger guage than OEM but transfer to existing smaller guage. Something fishy there. So the new wires will cope with a much higher wattage but then the existing smaller wires won't.

as always, its about what you use the bike for. when hero said "one is different than the other 2", i was expecting him to say the aprilia. the rs660 is a track tool with all ups (handling, power, electronics) and downs (ergonomics), the other 2 (and also the suzuki) are everyday sports tourers with higher handlebars and lower stressed engines.

Without a shadow of a doubt, the R7!! I dunno why people are so obsessed with electronics and customisation, personally I just wanna get on the bike and take off! No need to worry about being in the right abs mode, throttle mode, traction control setting, right power mode, right quick shifter mode especially not on a 100hp bike😂😂 The reliability is always gonna be a problem due to the sheer amount of electronics on the bike. I mean aprilia have reliability problems even in their moto GP bikes so it's no surprise.

That’s fair, I’m the same way for bikes in that I don’t want to be bothered by complicated tech. But the RS660 is clearly the best in its class. The R7 is phoned in by Yamaha and isn’t competitive on the street or track. The GSX8R is the only one that actually gets close to the RS660.

“Money is not an issue since I plan to keep the bike for a long time” There is a lot to unpack here. The cost of a bike is not in the purchasing price but in the maintenance, modification, insurance, depreciation, service and repairs. This does not diminish but increase with time. The RS660 performs better all day, but it is also more expensive in every category I just mentioned. Do you really need the expensive components of an rs660 for the type of riding you do? That is a good follow up question.
@C0lon0
@C0lon0 6 күн бұрын

@@C0lon0in terms of insurance we are talking about about a 40-50% additional cost for the RS660 in relation to the Daytona where I live. In terms of service maintenance I think I heard it was only about a 20% difference, but Aprilia will be more butthurt if you don’t hand the bike in for a basic oil change, meaning your warranty will be at stake. Also, i really think Aprilia has stepped up their quality for the RS. BUT! 4 years down the line and you put together all the costs you paid for repairs between a Yamaha, Triumph and an Aprilia i think you know the answers yourself. However, i am not making the argument that the RS can not be worth it. I am making the argument that it might not be worth it for everybody. For example, if you are not taking the bike to a track, why sacrifice so much money for something you are not really using.
@sebba2top
@sebba2top 5 күн бұрын
@@neelsahay5227i am not confused but you are not completely wrong. A bike will depreciate less the older it is. Yet, one can’t use car logic on bikes straight out. Where I live, only the total insurance cost overshadows the total depreciation after only 3 years, this is without talking maintenance and repairs into account. Of course the price per mile will decrease, but not like a cars will. In relation between the bikes, the difference will most likely increase. Also i was arguing against the original argument. The original argument was that the different price points of the bike didn’t matter since the guy intended to own the bike for longer.

So the thing is this really ends up being a matter of priorities. I think we all know where Hero stands. Where does our viewer stand? Personally, if my wife did not support me getting a motorcycle, I would not ride one. She makes me happy, she helps take the stress away. Is your relationship in a state which, if prevented from riding, you could still be happy? Dedication to motorcycling can range an entire spectrum from "just a hobby" to "ride or die". Which do you think you'll be? Your girlfriend has cause to be scared, regardless of the circumstances of the accident, she lost someone she loved on a motorcycle. Those emotions aren't likely to change even if she did let you ride. If you're seeking a long term relationship, that kind of worry can put a strain on you both. I would suggest being open with her that you're thinking about it and letting her know that you care deeply about how she feels and ask her to give you the same consideration. Again, it relies on your priorities. I choose to make my decisions with family in mind. It's not wrong for you to choose your own path, but please, take your time.
