@@mushroom330 RBG Galaxy class is an upgraded mod, you're right a standard galaxy class wouldn't. This mod isnt the standard

Well that's a war galaxy, not the standard. A normal galaxy was pretty combat efficient but it was really nowhere near its full potential. Because they didn't want to scare people. When the gloves come off though, and it gets upgraded for war, its a nightmare. If they had to sit there and trade hits face to face, yeah the dedicated warship would win. But the war galaxy has more than a fair chance at winning if there's a normal war scenario where strategy is involved. The extra phasers and quantums are really going to hurt.

​@@enermaxstephens1051I'm sure they'd hurt but what's with the Jem'hadars nerfed rate of fire? In the DS9 episode where the Red Squad Defiant class attacks one, that Dominion Battleship is spitting out almost 2 torpedos a second... this fight is on easy mode by comparison...

Does it still have daycare centers for the crews families? And holodecks so people can spend the ships valuable computer power and energy re-enacting Peter pan and Sherlock Holmes stories? I doubt the Jem'Hadar Battleship even have anything close to all that cool, cool stuff.....

@@williamcorvinus8240 I doubt it, I imagine that the War Refit because of it's mission profile is more like the Sovereign. In that there will be less space dedicated to crew comforts. exploration and research.

Fun video. The Galaxy refit is powerful, but it's definitely Not taking down a Dominion Battleship in a head to head fight. It's a completely different weight class compared to the Galaxy. You would need a small fleet to take out a Dominion Battleship in a direct fight. IIRC correctly there was brief scene of the Battleship fighting off multiple Vorchas and Romulan Warbird.

I have an idea for your channel, that should make give you more views and increase your visibility. (maybe even more so than RGB). Truth be told I initially make this recommendation on his channel, but haven't seen it yet. So you could get the drop. So the suggestion I'm giving you is tweaked a bit better and would allow you more videos in a more structured manner. Start a "Best in Class" tournament series. Come up with a tournament style system for starship classes. You can have it first off by race, then the best of each race in that class goes into a tournament. Eventually ending up with a conclusion on not only the best in class starship but the best overall starship in the game. Use CHAT GPT to help you organize the tourney. Just my 2cents worth of a suggestion. I'm sure all of us Trekkies and Bridge Commander fans would certainly watch.

Correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t phased poloron beams have the ability to bypass their shields and the fact that the thing has 26 of them and 26 torpedo launchers make that Galaxy a bit outgunned? Also the maneuvering in the first battle was unrealistic to say the least The Galaxies are stupid big so they could have done a lot more to them than that to upgrade them It would seem they would given the weapons on the JH battleship They could have easily added the pods on top that the Nebula class had That would be something to see

Starfleet overcame that liability pretty quickly, but yes, if this were the Odyssey in that first battle, it would have effectively not had any shields.

I would set every photon and quantum to follow me around, already launched. Then upon encountering the dominion warship, all the torpedoes the galaxy had would fly at the warship at once. If there was anything left I would hit it with all the phaser banks

RBG stands for retro badger gaming. He designed the custom mod. To have a Galaxy class frame but upgraded every system. There is no canon version of this vessel. Just the lore it was created with.

It still is if it wasn't for the war upgrades, a single stock galaxy wouldn't have a chance. The RBG though is a joy a to play with and has real teeth 😁

@TrekBattles Im just saying the Battleship wasn't hosing out the firepower like it should. There's a good case to be made that the Reman Scimitar was made from the frame of a Dominion Battleship. Makes sense to me- no way a slave species like the Remans would have been able to build that in secret.

@williamnixon3994 Knda- yeah. They were the cannon fodder- so if the Romulans were taking a Dominion shipyard, the Remans would be the ones sent in first. It sure makes more sense than "the slave race somehow had a secret shipyard where they developed an entire technology tree unnoticed and got ALL the materials to make just ONE huge ship instead of a ton of small ships. Oh, and the technology is greater than the Romulans' own tech... Yeah. Dominion tech checks out. Possibly the Dominion made the Scimitar FOR the Remans during the war in return for them taking the Romulans out of the war by using that radiation weapon on Romulus?
