Is The Sims 4 Soul's Journey too easy?

There's a mod by LunarBritney that slows the progression and also re-balances individual goals so that easier ones give less progress than more difficult ones.

That sounds good. I think my main or only real issue with the list is how quickly it fills up. Especially the slow, creeping progression in the background sort of ruins its storytelling impact. Which is a shame.

I play on long lifespans and I've found myself rushing to complete bucket list goals because their Soul's Journeys complete so quickly between Aspirations, Wants, and Holidays! Yesterday one Sim completed his Soul's Journey as a Young Adult without touching any of his bucket list goals. I wish there was a setting to change how quickly it progressed to better accommodate longer lifespans.

With some sims, it is too easy, but it really depends on their traits, wants, aspiration, holidays, and what goals they get.

I once had a goal to graduate university and the other one to woohoo in bush which both gave the same level of progression. Definitely way too easy.

Yeah I have it and I noticed that one was like spend 24 hours in San myshuno and the other was get to level ten of the logic skill. I was like how are those even kind of close?

My sim only completed one of her bucket list items and finished her souls journey. I guess the wants and aspiration gave her the progress. She was mid YA when she finished it. So now she has "lived a fulfilled life". Am I meant to kill her now or what? I hate that the bucket list disappear when the souls journey is done. Why can't she still have stuff she wants to do. I would have liked the bar to be able to go down if you don't continue to do bucket list stuff, like the character values in parenthood.

I think its too easy! Aspirations add too many points to it in my opinion. Honestly i wouldve preferred to have a settings option to decide if i wanted aspirations to add points to the soul's journey. Then i could turn it off for the sims i want to struggle 😂

For me, that slow creeping progression in the background ruins it a bit. I like the bucket list as a way to generate story beats for my sims' story and I think it generally does a good job in that. However that quite substantial unconscious background progression makes the things you consciously choose to do feel less meaningful and I just wish I could turn that off, so that I only get bucket list points from doing things on the bucket list.

Yes it is to easy just do about 3 different aspirations and you are done lol, I don't even need to make a bucket list

I 100% agree with the idea they are too easy... I was playing with 6 sims through university, I sometimes would let them write goals just so I could have some long term things to look forward to, but... Mostly, I didn't give attention to their soul's journey... Without even attempting, 2 out of my 6 sims completed their souls' journeys and... I didn't do anything, yk? Differently from you in this video, I effectively had other goals, like finishing university with those sims, but... 2 of them completed the soul journey without me even trying... Considering these are meant to be something they work their entire life to complete... Made me feel a bit disappointed, but I did appreciate the variety of things that appears and how they often match what that sim would want

I'm planning on using rebirth heavily in my Goth generations let's play. So I'm hoping it will be easy😅. They will be reborn into other "dark" families like lothario, gomes and the one in growing together 🦇

I think you may like "Age a day" mod so you can focus on one person and others won't age without your consent^^ I usually play with just one person. I have always the plan that I would make him perfect and later I may make someone for him or he would test genealogy by trying for a baby with few occults. But I never did it really. The plan is always there and so is my stupidity.

I can't seem to complete any of the ones that require the sim to declare "best date ever" to another sim. I can't find the stupid thing in the pie menu.
