@@IronsitePistols, 1- it was a compliment because rental pistols are treated like rented mules. My 2010 Built M&P9L has got at least 70000 round thru it. I say at least because I have loaded over 70 boxes of 1000 projectiles. My reloads are 138 IPSC Power factor so they are not light loads. It has had an apex trigger in it for roughly 4 years on and off. It has only had the slide lock lever changed and roughly 60000 Rounds everything else is original. Accuracy has not changed from new, reliability is like new and its barely worn anywhere. I have slight holder where in the scallops on front of slide and finger wear on the slide cuts at the rear. Truly my favorite gun, an unbelievable firearm that never lets me Down

@Euge Garmendia Arteabaro Clearly...Thank you internet gun genius for clarifying the ignorance I have for my own gun...if you are referring to the pressure of .40 being hard on the gun causing wear and/or failures, remember I said USPSA...I am shooting loads that are way below SAAMI specs for pressure at the 168 power factor mark...but clearly I can't compare with your vast experience and knowledge about my gun. Having an M&P full size 1.0, 9c and a Shield .40 with Hogue grip sleeve plus a few other brands . Put them all out on the bed and grabbed each using different grips and either hand. Although I like Glocks I ended up selling both and keeping the rest. M&P just felt better in terms of grip and balance. The "others", a 2.0 compact in .40 , a Springfield EMP4 and a Sig 1911 in .45.

If I lived in the US I would 100% be an M&P guy (especially the 2.0). More ergonomic than Glocks, cheaper, and with the Apex trigger kit is light years better to shoot than a Glock. It’s also the one line that stands toe to toe with Glock in terms of weight, size, and reliability for the cost (other equally or more reliable guns also cost much more than both). It’s also quite a bit cheaper. Though it loses in aftermarket support and parts, it can hold its own. Unfortunately in my country M&Ps actually cost much more than the equivalent Glock and doesn’t have nearly as much aftermarket support.

I let a buddy shoot it and he didn't have a problem with it so I sold it to him. I haven't bought another one since and probably won't because there are so many other pistols that are as good as or better that don't have a grip safety.
