Love my C2 Limited Edition with the ICE Comp, less snappy with the Comp.

Been carrying one for almost 2 years. Got a 509T and a TLR7-HLX (Recently upgraded from a TLR7-a) in a Tenicor Sagax Lux2. Best carry setup I've ever had. I've never been more confident. Thousands of rounds down the pipe, flawless reliability, and it is so much easier to shoot better than other platforms. It won't cover up poor fundamentals, but if you do your part this baby will absolutely sing.

How are you liking the HLX so far?
@jayphillips3683 ай бұрын
@@mdevo77 Definite improvement over the a. The beam is much brighter and more focused. The light sits flush with the slide and frame. I carry in a Tenicor Sagax Lux 2, so I didn't need to get a new holster for it. If your holster can accommodate it, there is no reason not to get it.

I carry a C2 Limited which has the Comp and the XC trigger. I don’t see me carrying anything else. Great shooting guns.

The C2 is a good carry gun. I carry the P with no issues. It's really whatever someone is comfortable with.

I love the gun, but for an EDC, I personally prefer the light to not extend past the barrel. Messes up the intended balance, could reduce the life of the light, and extends the front profile in a way that could get it to get caught on things when trying to rebolster (for example). Basically, the point of the c2 is for the compact model and benefits of having a more compact firearm. You essentially extended the front to a near full-sized length. A smaller surefire would not only look better, but you would perform better at nearly every category.
@nickdamz26683 ай бұрын
I agree with all of your points - I have many lights that’ll fit but prefer running this one. In all honesty I don’t really experience significant inhibitions as they are outweighed by my familiarity with the entire setup as it is identical to my XC. Completely agree there are better options in the category of fit and performance for the C2, especially considering it is more compact
@mordicus98173 ай бұрын
@@nickdamz2668 To be clear, your setup is better than almost any, even with the light I'm nit picking. Can I ask what you like about the light that other (smaller) options do not have?
@nickdamz26683 ай бұрын
@@mordicus9817 All mental for me. My philosophy is that I should be the most competent with my EDC setup, which would require primarily training with it (I’m against the typical situation where one may shoot full-size at the range and carry a rarely used subcompact for example). Since I typically am using an XC with an SRO and X300, I have the most experience with both accessories. Specifically for the light, the controls are muscle memory and my expectations around brightness and throw are exact for my two setups

Does the slight SRO overhang cause ejection port malfunctions?

Haven’t experienced any. After long periods of not cleaning some carbon builds up under there that’s about it

I don’t find the light or optic to be an impediment - mainly just recognizing that this is a full size pistol as many people are used to carrying compacts

Does anyone make 10rd mags for the restricted states
@nickdamz26683 ай бұрын
I’ve purchased magazines from Staccato and Modern Warriors and had them shipped directly to my FFL for the compliance work. In my experience, most FFLs in restricted states have the ability and are willing to pin them.

Hammer fired guns are obsolete. They croaked the minute the first Glock hit the US market. Fun toys for the range, not for concealed carry at all.

I guess I should stop carrying my Stacatto P, w/SRO, appendix. I can hide it because I'm not a fat ass. Glad you said that my man, I think I'll pick up a Stacatto C for my EDC. Usually it's guys who can't afford a higher end firearm who bad mouth them the most. 1911's and 2011's are where it's at.
