We just got ours today. Looks almost identical to yours. Hubby put it to use right away. We have the Kubota LX3310. Our stump bucket is from Farmer Equipment Supply out of Ontario, Canada. It's 37" long in the bucket. Knowing this, he knows to put the blade in about 3 feet away. He turns the point down around 30°, pushes it in, then backs it out a bit, pushes in again, and tilts the bucket up a bit to "feel" for the resistance. A few more times from different angles if the stump is bigger than 6" wide and he has it out. He removed countless stumps in just a few hours doing this. 2" to 3" diameter takes him under 30 seconds, up to 6" is about 90 seconds, and bigger ones, a few minutes. I hope you have this figured out already, since its been a year since you posted the video. A suggestion for storing the bucket is to put it on top of something because it's shorter than many quick attach implements. That way, you don't pick up a lot of dirt when you try to attach it. A pallet will do.

Thanks for watching. yeah, I pulled up a bunch of stumps last year with it. Agreed. Smaller ones are easy enough to do in 1 dig. But the bigger ones take going around the stump. It is surprising how well it works once you get the hang of it. I also store mine on a pallet. I've got another pallet for the normal bucket. That way it is easy to switch between them.

Adding some ballast will help a lot. When I added Rim Guard to my tires, it made all the difference.

Thanks... When I bought the tractor the "filled" the tires. Not sure how full they are. But there is some in them.

I’ve been thinking of getting one for my grand L3010 with LA485. I’ve got a SSQA and rimguard ballast and a box blade for weight. I wonder if my smaller tractor would handle it. I also have a 60” wicked root grapple and use the heck out of it.
@homestead_diyАй бұрын
Not too familiar with that tractor. But it mostly seems to be how well you can attack the stump at different angles. My tractor doesn't have enough lift capacity to just pick it up out of the ground. I have to loosen it and cut the roots all around the stump to get it up. that root grapple looks really cool.

@@homestead_diy the grand L is a 1999 with a 30hp. It’s got good chassis weight and traction but limited lift capacity. I think it would work if a guy doesn’t get crazy with it. Thanks for the video.

I wonder if mirrors would help with visibility?. Would making holes in the bucket allow one to see through it, as in a 2-3" hole saw,? I plan on getting one, they are like $700 .

Mine is the older model. But the newer model has "slits" running down it. This should make it easier to see: amzn.to/4h8yegv

The new version of this titan attachments stump bucket has cut outs in the center for this very reason. Not being able to see where the point is going into the ground.
@homestead_diy2 ай бұрын
Wow. I didn't know that. Glad it has been improved.
@steffiearchie3670Ай бұрын
I wouldn't like that. Hubby and I find multiple uses for the bucket, including digging trenches, and having a cut out would defeat that purpose, lol.
@homestead_diyАй бұрын
@@steffiearchie3670 I'd just have to see where the cutouts are. And how big they are.

I also have a Kubota tractor, Mx5400. Looking to get a stump bucket. What name brand is yours and where did you get it from? Looks like the one you got would work just fine for me. Thanks! Nice video, btw. We're all new at it at some time. Only time with it makes us better at it.

I bought this one: amzn.to/3X7NGQq but it shows as unavailable now. Looks like the newer one is: amzn.to/3qNE3KM Just make sure it attaches correctly to your tractor. I bought from Amazon because I had some gift cards I needed to use. You can also buy from Titan directly: www.palletforks.com/

TITAN ATTACHMENTS ECONOMY STUMP BUCKET SSQA worked perfectly on my LS XJ2025 diesel tractor less than 5 minutes to get the bucket off the deliver truck and onto my tractor Stumps come out of the ground almost magically Big stumps and roots maybe 5-10 minutes Finished 5 acres of brush stumps (most with 3-5 inch stumps and up to 16 foot roots in 3 hours Saved over $1,200 in fees for stump removal to be able to till the field

Awesome. Mine works great when the ground is a bit moister than now. During the summer here, the ground is like concrete once the rains stop. Once it cools off, I've got a ton of projects for the stump bucket.
