One of the sure signs of a good video is if someone says, "I wonder if I can fit my head in it."
@BACKPACKERish Жыл бұрын
I figured that there's not that big of a difference between head sizes across the population....it has to be a fairly universal measurement right? Like measuring a horse by "hands"....?

I love my swd pack and the non zipper pockets are great. Everything is thought out to the extreme. I’ve had the long haul at 40lbs with a tent attached to the bottom and a bear canister on top. Fantastic pack. Maybe the best

Thanks for this first look video. Super useful for me. I'm seriously considering buying this pack to strap on the back of my bike for long-term bikepacking. I think you should have way more subscribers. No nonsense, great descriptions of the item, nice editing and sound. Keep it up please!

I’ll be waiting for your review after a lot of use. I’m good on packs for now but I could see wanting another in the future. I pack year round, 20 to 30 trips a year. Some are summer with a lot of water sources, some are winter three day dry trips. So, this pack looks promising. Your videos are very entertaining. I suspect the KZbin algorithm is screwing you. I’ll be happy when you finally break out. It needs to happen because you are more entertaining and have a different style than most of the big hitters.

Thanks Garry, that’s incredibly flattering. I don’t want to break out really though, I just want to be big enough for companies I like to send me free stuff! Lol! I can’t wait to put this pack through the ringer. Starting this weekend with a rainy trip into elbow sheep wildland park!

Good description. Don't see many others showing attachment configurations. How secure are the water bottles in the side pockets? It's one thing to have a lot of volume, but it's nice to be able to optionally run a strap over them so they don't slip out when when scrambling, ducking under trees, etc..

I haven’t had anything fall out of them at all! Time some spills, rolled my pack a few times, fallen on some pretty good scree slopes, and been caught on more than a few pines. The elastic really sings in whatever you would end up storing in there, and I keep the pretty full.

Definitely need to check this out on our next trip together.. looks like an awesome pack. Been looking at these packs for a bit, I’ve been looking for a reason/ excuse for a new light weight pack for winter and packrafting trips on the river around here.

I have the 70L version. It’s good. But pack fit is personal and this pack does not carry as well as my Seek Outside Divide. So for most, you will need to try before you commit.

Wow I'm using the waymark evlv for my summer pack, but this pack is so badass with its modularity and attachment points. I'll definitely keep an eye on this company when I'm in the market for a framed pack. Having a pack made of black ultra 200, the visibility at night is an issue with that as well, it seems like some companies have ecopack/xpack thats lined with white while others have it the same color as the outside. I can confirm that my head does not fit in the waymark side pockets (I laughed so hard when you did that).

I'm stoked to get this out this weekend and spend some time actually using it. I also looooove the fact that you also tried to fit your head into your side pockets!

Very good and thorough review. Have you carried a heavy load yet? Under heavy loads are the shoulder straps and hipbelt comfortable? A number of ultralight packs skimp on the shoulder straps and hipbelt padding/comfort. I plan to stay under 25 lbs but sometimes there is that long water carry. Thanks!
@BACKPACKERish8 ай бұрын
The heaviest I’ve had so far was 36lbs on a 6 day trip. Day one was roughly 18k and it was great! No soreness in my hips or shoulders. I can actually say that their claim around not really noticing up to 40lbs was actually accurate (at least for me). If you’re sub-30lbs this pack handles like a dream…
