QOTD: ⚡⚡Are you a chronic notetaker? If so, would a notepad 3” x 2” be worthwhile to keep as with your wallet, or is it too small to be useful?

I have one of these and managed a week or so with it. I loved the idea but that style and shape of metal in my pocket just did not work for me. I don’t like folding cash twice either, it doesn’t hold much. Also, mine, on the inside of the leather looked horrible with something on the leather. Trayvax said it was some glue from the manufacturing process but it looked and felt awful. Second to that, I am not paying thier price for those little notebooks sent to the UK. It didn’t take long for the paper notebook to get battered by the metal wallet either, so that looked nasty from the rubbing.

The notebook aspect might have been useful for me 10 or more years ago, but with today's technology it is not. One could say the same regarding wallets with all the digital payment methods available, but my experience with those has not been as positive so I'm staying with a wallet, or two, or three ….

Grogg G, yeh I don’t think we’re at the stage yet where we don’t need wallets or cash. I’m in the UK and Apple Pay is everywhere and I still take a wallet out.

It is certainly useful, sometimes people like using pen and paper that don’t want to use your phone that could get potentially hacked or information stolen. Just seeing from a different perspective. Nice review!

The revised version, which you are reviewing, is a marked improvement over the original, wherein the notepad kept slipping out of the wallet. Supposedly there was some weak stitching as well, but I didn't use it long enough to really test that, given the general problem of the notepad moving. I love the look of this revision, even in spite of how tiny the notepad is. That's just the tradeoff - want a bigger notepad, you'll need a bigger wallet. BTW, you say repeatedly this is based on the "Armored" Suimmit. And it's not. It's just the Summit. The "Armored" version has another metal plate to go atop the cards, and take up a bit more space that would otherwise be used for cards. It's just the regular Summit with the leather sleeve providing protection and a slot for the notebook.

I've found that i can hold cash folded twice in the little metal piece on the back of the wallet, it works well for me and i store little notes/insurance and stuff like that behind the notebook!

you should review the AntiGear Anti wallet and pen, flashlight, card caddy/organizer/whatever you call it. I was interested in the Trayvax or an Arc company bolder wallet for the capability of carrying a pen and notebook with my cards and cash until I stumbled upon it, I made a card sized notebook to slip into one of the slots and it's pretty slim with the 5 cards I carry.

Fun looking wallets, which one did you get?
@OX714 жыл бұрын
@@walletopia the anti wallet and gear caddy. the Arc company doesn't ship to Canada and Trayvax won't ship by usps and the courier they use charges too much in brokerage fees.

Have you tried the Trayvax 0G 2.0? I suspect that one won't "make you think too much" at least! I love it. I had the Summit Notebook in the original version, which had a couple of faults that the revision, which you review here, doesn't. Still, can't bring myself to spend that much again on an improved version.

@@walletopia Thank you! Good review, but I was wrong obviously. For me, the OG 2.0 was very intuitive; and I didn't find adjusting the paracord a pain at all -- though I could see if you carry a changing set of cards every day, maybe it would get old. Anyway, Dif'rent strokes.

I take the note pad out and it's great for lots of cash and six cards in the card holder super slim talking about prices do the trayvax 2.0 origanal at 29.99 the cheapest which I find blows away alot of there high priced wallets trayvax sells

It seems like a gimmick. People use their phones for notes nowadays, it's way more convenient and has way more features. This wallet came out 30 years too late.

not everyone uses a phone to take notes and what if you have to leave a note for someone? people thinking their cellphone can do everything keep coming up short in the end. cell phones keep great time but plenty of people still wear watches.

You write notes to commit it to memory. By taking the time to do it it will stick longer

Ill just get myself the sleeve and armored summit separetly. Comes for 40$ less and gives me ability to hold more cash and cards. If push comes to shove I can just get a cheaper pen and paper later for that critical note taking.

I only used mine for a week or two and couldn’t get on with it. It’s been resigned to the ‘cupboard in the sky’ LOL. Far too many metal corners and sharp bits for my liking. That pen lid was a bit of a pain too when you want to use it. 🙂

Eh, the Dango pen wallet is better ......REVIEW IT

Wow, those do look really nice. I am going to have to get one. I've used the Trayvax Summit and had bought my son one for Christmas last year. The leather where the strap threads through it is now ripped so I purchased him a Summit Notebook because he actually needs a pen and paper sometimes due to his job as an electrician. Landed here after searching for video tips on setting the wallet up, but wish I had seen the Dango one first.

I have the Dango pen, it is big, not sure why they went with something so chunky when something thinner would have worked better.

Haha! Please tell me why!? I’m really torn on them myself. The designs are creative, but I also find a very real Rube Goldberg quality in every product.

how would you suggest not drawing on yourself or your stuff... without a cap on the pen.... just shove it on the back my friend! 68% - what a joke!
