How does the Tudor blackbay 58 hold up in 2024? Is it still a good watch or have other watch brands jumped ahead of it in the mid-luxury watch tier?

I purchased my BB58b when they were introduced four years ago. Still have it and, with my Pelagos 39 complete the diver portion of my watchbox. I find the 58 still holds my interest after owning it for a considerable time.

The 58 is so well made and perfectly proportioned for a sports watch. It borrows from classic Tudors and Rolex without being a slave to an exact copy . It really is its own thing. The chunky coin edge crown is so satisfying to wind with a refined matching coin edge bezel and I love the snow flake seconds hand. It’s different from the more traditional lollipop style. By the way, 39 mm is on the smaller side for a modern sized sports watch. I think anything smaller is playing vintage territory.

Absolutely classic watch for the reasons you mentioned, I chose this for my wedding watch and don’t regret it .. looks absolutely stunning in the sun and it’s not often you find a blue dial divers watch. Looks great with a blue outfit 👌🏽

I think Brock Purdy of the 49ers wore one for his summer wedding as well if I'm not mistaken? I believe it was brown and red (fitting)

The Blue BB58, the 36mm series and the BB Chrono are in my opinion the most iconic Blackbays. Everything else feels like it's trying to be be something else.

Forstner has some very good bracelets for the Black Bay 58 in Oyster, Jubilee, and Bullet. I got mine in the Bullet style for $185.00 dollars. Looks great!

Great review! I bought mine last summer and it’s what I wear most days. I’m in Chicago and needed something low key. Bought it used but in pristine condition for around 2,500. 10:10

I have recently sold my bb54 for the bb58 blue. After 3 months the squared case and faux patina just didn't clicked Never regreted it since. Keep it up man! Just subbed

I recently got my BB58 OG in black on a bracelet . Weirdest thing is that , that version on a bracelet is always sold out in AD, they have it on other straps. but not on bracelet.

Bracelet is always pretty expensive to buy after the fact so most people go for that, but if you go preowned the prices can vary.

@@TimeBaum yeh but you can get the blue one on a bracelet so much easier and much cheaper than the black one on a secondary markets
