I understand your point which may be true however it’s an opportunity for those Guyanese to uplift themselves to a new standard most Guyanese are in such situation simply because many are too lazy and dependent I grew up poor but I worked extra hours to make it big in life and I made it these under privileged Guyanese can do better if they Choose too but instead they drink and party instead of saving for a rainy day or to elevate themselves many are looking out for government assistance or handouts.

ARD, I watch your vlog all the time but don't comment all the time.Is that an Italian or Chinese restaurant? Where do they get their meats from? Who are the butchers? How many Guyanese butcher know the cuts of all meats, Cattle, Sheep, Goat. Chicken, Turkey, etc. 20 ounce redeye steak is Gy$ 70,000 which is equivalent to $440.30 Cdn, $ 334.53 US. Top of the line such steak which is A grade in North America cost in a fancy, fine dining restaurants is $ 40 Cdn at present. That's not a rack of lamb you have there Miss Danny. It's a rack of bones and yes the price wasn't too inflated. Truffles is one of the least expensive items on that menu, I wonder why? Majority of people in this world cannot afford to purchase Truffels muchless order it a restaurant. I can see that restaurant is Using Guyanese mentality to capitalize on due to sudden wealth. Big up to Pinetart, His food should cost quite a few more for he knows. High 5 Pinetart and respect to your wife. I watch ARD all the time. Yes there were a tractor there in Jones town about over 15 yrs ago. If it's not there anymore, it was taken away from someone or something. Was that sign always there from inception " WELLCOME TO THE PEOPLE'S TEMPLE/JONES TOWN"? Any restaurant charge $70,000 for meal are mafias. Even the queen of England and now the King Charles don't eat a $70,000 steak. Glad you show what is happening in Guyana. The Gov't should be very careful of who entering the country..especially foreign investors and so-called investors.

Thank you Sir for showing us the inside of this restaurant, the ambiance, and the service. Just wanted to ask, since we will be visiting Guyana shortly. Do these upper scale restaurants accept foreign Credit Cards. Do you know whether the travel agents that organize the trips to Kaieteur Falls do. I understand there is a 5% surcharge to use a foreign Credit Card all over Guyana. Can you please confirm. Thanks.

Most places will have a minimum purchase amount to use cards but our server did mention they accept credit cards as well with no added surcharge. Do check with your card issuer though, I’ve used a Bank of America and Citi Bank travel card and no extra fee was added. Just have to verify the currency exchange with the merchant. In this case for us it was 200 to 1 USD if we had used card. Hope this helps!

For the price point that restaurant had I’m expecting an upscale experience and the service has to be top tear and high class I unfortunately saw none of that. As a respected `influencer’ the Guyanese public expects ur genuine honesty and judging from everyone facial expressions it clearly is an overpriced underwhelming experience…. that menu needs to be revised to more realistic pricing! To call this upscale and high end Italian dining is grossly misleading telling the Guyanese public it’s worth the price when it isn’t. This is price gouging to unsuspecting locals
