Badgers will be solid this year - I like the squad a lot. It’ll be interesting to see how Greg Guard meshes the new players skill sets into their AK the swing O.

Looking at the stats from the Alabama game. First spring QB moving the ball very well… then he gets hurt. Defense played incredibly well, but gave up a few big place… That can be corrected. Offense move the ball up and down the field… You’re only gonna get better. Would’ve been a different game without those turnovers. Good luck to my friends in Wisconsin. Roll Tide Roll. Long season better as time moves on. I Believe we will make sweet 16. Better depth and Gard is a good coach when players want to be coached. Not last years team.

Or they might be who we think they are... we shall see. It's crazy how much one injury can really throw things into turmoil. If he doesn't get injured and the Badgers only lose by mid-teens, instead of 32, I don't think the wailing and gnashing of teeth is going on right now.

Highly unlikely that Bucky will surprise anyone. They can't throw the ball down field. Can't run the ball without fumbling. Can't stop the run. I'll be "surprised" if they beat Northwestern and Purdue.

@@justinrenaud4818 Just got blown the f*ck out by USC...a game I watched live, unfortunately. Saw with my own eyes just how poorly coached this team is. Mistakes. Turnovers. Penalties. No heart. No grit. No fight in them at all. They just rolled over meekly in the 2nd half and accepted their beating. Got stuffed AGAIN on 4th and 1. This team is unrecognizable to the one I grew up watching. I will say though, it was refreshing seeing them throw the ball down field for once.

Please remember that Barry went 1 - 10, 5 - 6, 5 - 6, before the break out year in year four going 10 - 1 - 1. So maybe there is a promise for improvement over the next couple years. We will see.

one topic that needs to be discussed is, what gimmick offense has ever succeeded in the B1G. There are different flavors of offense in the B1G but gimmicks just haven't worked. UW biggest issue has always been below average QB play and mediocre WRs with an occasional stud at WR. Longo just hasn't help elevate the QB room and the OL has taken several steps back over the last 3-4 years. Bad combination.

The prob with bball is Gard(not Isaac, he's all am potential) GG's only saving grace might be Frietag being like J.Davis, & Amos balling out. We might not make the tourney this year, could be below .500.

Freitag doesn't need to start. Hopefully we won't need emergency offense so b fun to see if he's good enough defensively 2 b the finisher.

Must wins: Purdue, northwestern, Minnesota Would like to think we win: Rutgers Toss up: Iowa, Nebraska Pleaseeeeee win one: usc, penn st, Oregon There is still a path to 6 big ten wins, assuming team improves. Also many paths to bowl ineligibility

I can’t imagine thinking TVD going out was a major impact to the final result against Alabama, or the remainder of the season. 6-6 was ceiling for this team with TVD. 8-4 was never reasonable.

Give Locke one game to get his act together. If he continues to perform at the same level ( or worse) and then it’s Mabrey time. might as well get some playing experience and snaps to see if he’s the real deal. And no, this is not Mertz 2.0.. Different offense and different coaching staff… Finally, Longo needs to figure out play calling… in terms of offensive pace- - we might as well huddle 70% of the time. End of rant. Let’s go Red.

Linebackers = better; Secondary = TBD; D-line = worse; Offensive line = slightly better; QB = worse; Receivers = push; Running game = worse; Special Teams = TBD 🔮

I want to comment on bye weeks. If a team is bad why would anyone think that a bye week, that is, an extra week under the same bad or ineffective coaching, would help a team. In other words, don’t expect a better team agains USC than against Alabama.

Actually fact based not hope based information. So maybe the scheme is the wrong fit 4 the talent. The definition of poor coaching. In the hope category playing & development of the supposedly better recruits will show how the rubber meets the road. With the $$ spent improvement has to b made now to keep donor $$ coming. TV fans have the time 2 sit & hope, most people actually paying $$ expect returns projected on our investment. Big fail to date as everyone can see. W/O improvements by the end of the yr writing the ck gonna b very hard to do. YES, BB 30 days away!!

We have to admit that we are in FULL rebuild mode. It sucks, but we CANNOT throw the coaches under the bus until their kids are juniors and if we can't win 9 games then, we can talk about hot seats.

That's fair as long as coaching adjustments r made. If we r goin 2 continue this style of play with same results, sadly, damage control has 2 come in2 play earlier. I do believe they will coach em up but till they do...

WR: Dike, Bell, Klou are better than what we have now. Oline: Borto way better. TE: Rucci better RB: BA is better. Look at Yds after contact. CB & Saf better now. LB: Njongmeta although didn't play enough, much better, coaches fault. DL: much worse. Rodas, Paez, Varner way better than what we have now. Huge portal losses with Bollers, N.Rucci, Wedig, Barett, KLOU, Dike. Dumb coaching. Bell & Evers are also going to ball out this year.

I watch a ton of College. Badgers have one of the most inept looking offenses I have watched all year at the D 1 level. No ones open - no TE usage - coaches can’t see the best RB are prob sitting on the bench. USC - lose by 15 Purdue - win Minn- close battle NW - close One of the worst teams I have watched all year nationally that what’s disheartening.

Justin is a realist. We don’t know too be optimistic about these mediocre programs. Make Wisconsin football and basketball have to earn our trust. Cause 6-6/7-5 ceiling for this year and next year.

It’s okay to admit it’s too early to draw an opinion. There will always be years a team is better than other years and it’s not a a big deal. A team doesn’t stay the same man. Ebs and flows are normal. For example, the Bama team we just lost to was worse than the one last year. Wisconsin is building a foundation. It’s season 1.2 for crying out loud.

It's amazing the same entitled youngsters & TV fans expounding the "out of the park hire, gonna move us to the next level bs" (b/c they were "tired" of just winning the west & bowl games) now talking "rebuild & foundation as ok???" Ur gonna accept & buy in2 that? Not for an additional $20 mill/yr pumped in2 fb budget. Returns r expected on investments as advertised. That's how life works 4 investments of this level, FB & econ 101... U don't keep writing checks w/o cashing receipts definitely will lead to donors pulling funds & becoming another TV fan. Just plan economic business, fb & life facts. A step down & more time is not an acceptable return on a $20 mill/yr investment. To whom much is given, much is expected. On Wisconsin

Don't you believe you are over thinking all this? This is Fickle's 2nd year. Why are you picking apart every little detail about the program? Why are you calling into question Braeden Locke's every move? Why are you creating a maelstrom of pressure on the program and everyone in and associated with it? This is ridiculous. It's been stated throughout spring and fall camps that Braeden is going above and beyond with his work ethic and study of the system. You are doing him and the program a great disservice with your talk about jumping to the next guy. We are who we are and must concentrate on preparing this team to be their best on the field. How do you believe that you are helping this team with your "reality" posts. How a out some positivity. Oh, we're a 5 - 7 team. Oh, we're doomed. You think these kids don't hear this. We got spanked by the number 4 team in the country. So what? Everyone expected no less. Pull this team together. I believe they will be better than you think. You really believe Locke has less talent and is worse than Stocco as a game manager.? Give these guys a chance and quit thinking about the future. Turn them loose and let them play. How about a little support for these kids?

are we better than last year? is the goal now? the goal before was to win the B1G 10 championship game so we can go to the next level. we changed everything to do that. now we just want to be better than a team that lost the ReliaQuest Bowl. have we sunken that low? qw have moved to an offense and a defense that is going to rely on skill players we were never able to recruit with any consistency in the past. we were told Luke can recruit them? That is just not happening. out of the top 300 recruits, we had 5 none of them were skill players. they are the kind of players we were also able to recruit. 2 RB 2 O- lineman, 1 D- lineman no Corners, no Safeties, no, Wide receivers in the top 300 Ohio State got 8 skill players in the top 300. how do expect to run a Defense that relys on coners were you can't recruit. Barry system relied on the players we could recruit. not seeing yet. I'm excited to see the basketball team too. There is no excitement in football right now. joy we got USC next week. Remember when we used to get excited about playing top teams? Wasn't that long ago. Call the first thing that crosses my mind is embarrassment

Rajeev, have you been watching our LB.? They are non-existent. JL had excellent LB and many went on to play in the NFL. NONE of these current LB are of pro talent, not even close.

No it sucks, and our coaches are just as bad. The coaches set the tone and from what I heard post game from Coach. Just do not hear any fire or hope from him.
