If people would remember, Catherine said years ago that she'd had a replica made of the original that she wears because she didn't want ANYTHING to happen to the original when she was traveling or out on walkabouts and when she was at home she wore her wedding ring. So I think she said she only wears it rarely on special occasions, like state banquets. IMHO - All items energy can be cleansed,. Personally I think its all in your outlook on it. It was once a great honor for heirloom jewelry to be passed down like engagement or wedding rings. If this ring is cursed, thats breakable as well. If its energy is from Diana, it too is cleanseable. Also great love has a tendency to break ill things. If its the stone not wanting to be moved, that too can be appeased. If bad energy is in play, wouldnt the diamonds Haz got from Di also have negative energy?? Great points! Sometimes a vibe is 'baked into' an item and it completely changes the vibration evermore. Think of a deep cut that turns into a scar on the skin. No matter how much you try, the skin is changed forever. Sure, it's still skin, but it's slightly different. Very interesting. Thank you. I'm aging myself here. I recall when Lady Di was first engaged and what the ring looked like. It has been "updated". The diamonds are a bit larger in circumference giving the setting a more rounded/softer edging. So no longer pointy on each diamond like what was depicted in all the checkout rag mags all those years ago. (Why many copycats of that time looked the way they did.) The initial ring Diana chose was not made "for her". I recall an interview wherein she said, a tray of rings were presented to her to pick from and she said she purposely picked the largest one, haha! So, given how more polished the ring looks today, I would say [they] did customize the setting to some degree. Whether they fabricated the ring altogether in the style she wanted with precious diamonds and a sapphire from their own vault (so possibly moving the stones from another setting/crown as they often say they do) - and returned the original one, is anyone's guess. But it was definitely "upated" to a more "regal" appearance.

Our taste changes. Diana was a teenager when she picked it out. Maybe she would have chosen a different style if she was older and more mature. It's personally not my style, but the ring is iconic. I was born long after they married and had their sons, but I've often seen replicas of the ring. Many women wanted it. I'm sure many little girls grew up seeing it and wanting the same thing. Over a decade ago, maybe Catherine was excited to receive it as well. This wasn't a knock off, but the actual ring. Now that she is in her forties and has children, her viewpoint has changed. Maybe she wants something more practical and simpler to wear. There's nothing wrong with that. They should do what makes them happy and comfortable.

Good evening! I was wondering if you could do a reading on William and Catherine's nanny, Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo. In the flurry of "reporting" I read "the nanny was let go". I find this hard to believe. I would believe she left of her own accord before that would ever happen. Part of me wonders if it was the nanny who was the one rushed to the hospital on December 28th, and not Catherine. The ring was given to Harry initially, and Harry gave it to William and William gave Harry her watch, I sure wouldn't have taken it, I would have asked for my own, it should have been put in the tower along with all the other precious tiara's and jewellery. Interesting...I always felt that. In fact one was my m-i-l and when I tried it on one day my whole hand swelled up, got red and itchy. Needless to say I never tried it again. It was intended for my daughter but it was stolen. Some jewellery I had but was never worn was given to others and I have not heard anything bad. Food for thought. Queen Elizabeth was in her early 20s, but she had attended college first. Sophie was in her mid 30s when she married Edward. Anne had been in several relationships before getting married. Catherine was 29 and a college graduate. Fergie was in her mid 20s. Nearly all of these women had a transition to adulthood, were able to live life as a single woman first. Diana went straight from school to being matched to a much older man that had already traveled, many girlfriends, experience with the press, etc.

Probably the ring is tainted because it wasn't given as a sincere sign of true love when Charles bestowed it to Diana. Maybe they can refigure the ring into a necklace and have a new engagement ring made. My husband offered me his grandmother’s wedding band just before we married. His grandparents were married in the late 1940’s and they stayed (happily) together until his grandfather’s death in 1989. That’s the whole reason I accepted the precious gift, and I have worn it every single day since our wedding.
