They're definitely lying about the value of the ingredients, the edible gold leaf alone was marked as $50 in the video when in reality you can buy 30 sheets for just $6. How To Cook That made the entire sundae minus the spoon and goblet for only $50. Plus there is no way a flower made of sugar is worth $100. You can guess by the rounded off numbers that they definitely lied generously. There's the possibility that How To Cook That used less expensive ingredients but there's no doubt it isn't worth close to $1000.
