Same in Australia, there's a couple different types of oranges (like naval and blood orange) and then heaps of different mandarines (like imperial, sumo, afourer, phoenix, amorette, etc)

@@surfie007, you forgot to mention the most popular variety of oranges in Australia. Valencia oranges. Same name as the place Kate went to in Spain in the video :)

Always buy the smallest oranges you can find, the smaller they are the more packed with flavor, if they are too big they end up being watery and barely have flavor.

North Florida used to be citrus country. No longer. Too many freezes, though that may be changing with warming. There’s a town called Satsuma, though that might have been just optimism…

Where I live a Satsuma is a variety of plum with deep red flesh. As far as I know the citrus variety is not known here.

I prefer satsumas. They smells better and a bit sourish. Clementinè is sweeter but left weird scent of my fingers and I don`t like :)

If you do customer service regarding a product, at least know the product 😂 Every time they call these places the contact centre staff have no clue on things they could google 😂

You haven’t figured out it’s the same 3 people they call every time? It’s not really customer service lines, it’s an opener to the topic. Geez can’t believe how many times I’ve commented this.

There was a variety of mandarins with lot of seeds, but a particular aroma you could feel meters away. Nowhere to be found nowadays.

When I was a kid, back in the 60's, just about the only fresh orange you saw was the navel.

What an odd way to pronounce 'clementine'. The last syllable rhymes with 'mine' not 'mean'.
@johanneshalberstadt3663

Have you ever considered, that the word might have originated in another language, with different pronunciation rules, and just been adopted into the English language?
@Alan_Mac
@Alan_Mac 3 жыл бұрын
@@johanneshalberstadt3663 All languages have been borrowing words for thousands of years and the long-established principle is that you pronounce it in your own way. So this is an irrelevance.

How is this British woman storming onto this Orange Farmers property, immediatley ripping fruit from his trees, dropping the peel on his soil and then jovially offering him a piece of his own fruit, all without asking or being invited to? So rude, over-bearing and entitled. Maybe it's just the editing but it's really embarrassing to watch. She almost behaves like his superior, but shes a guest and asking for information.
