@MrOldham1014 жыл бұрын
I don't understand this point. Unless you buy a disk you never physically own your games no matter the platform. If steam went bankrupt tomorrow, guess where all your games would go. If Xbox went bankrupt tomorrow, guess where all your digital games would go. Baring in mind Google makes more money than both those example companies, it is the least likely to go bankrupt. I get why people would make the point about Google's history of cancelled projects and products but this is also totally invalid. Microsoft likely has just as many cancelled projects that they are just not as transparent as Google about, every company does. But if you look at the actual stats and feedback from current players instead of the loud minority of PC gamers that have never actually tried it, stadia is a hit for Google. It has already grown a massive player base for the time it's been out despite the lack of games and it is already making them a ton of money. Could you imagine the legal ramifications if they all of a sudden decided to take products people have paid for away from them. Personally, I think stadia is hands down better than every other console on the market. I would rather have the occasional frame skip in my game than spending hours waiting for games to update, having to delete old games to make space for new ones and sit through ridiculously long loading screens. I already have more playable games on stadia than I do on my PS4 purely because my PS4 can only really store around 10 games on it before you have to start deleting things. EVERY GAME I HAVE BOUGHT ON STADIA IS ALWAYS THERE, ALWAYS UP TO DATE AND WILL ALWAYS BE AVAILABLE AND UP TO DATE WHENEVER AND WHEREVER I WANT TO PLAY THEM.

I have been using GeForce NOW and I can honestly say that I see no difference in image quality or latency compared to playing on a local machine. The things I like the most about it is that I do not have to upgrade my GPU and I can still play all modern AAA games with RTX on and max settings. My PC is basically not doing anything except for streaming a video and therefore I don't need fancy cooling, the PC stays quiet, there's much less dust build-up because the fans never spin with high RPMs and obviously it draws way less power. It's awesome and I can even play on my old laptop from 2012. But there are very serious issues with the availability of games and that is the biggest deal-breaker. A lot of games that I would like to play are not available on the service. GTA, Read Dead, Horizon Zero Dawn, just to name a few. And the games that are on the list can easily be pulled in the future if the developers decide to do so. And because of this you still need to spend money on a personal gaming rig because you can never be sure if the upcoming games you'll want to play will be on the service, or if the games you're currently playing won't be suddenly removed.

@@stonalisa3729 I only use stadia to check out bright dust items for the week in destiny 2, even when I went to a friends house who had 5G and I wasn't getting kicked off stadia for poor connection it still felt like slightly off, missing shots I could've hit on console or on PC, destiny 2 being one of the few free games is just a bad choice, its a fast paced FPS that is always online so you are also dragging other people down when you have that latency, turn based games are what should be played on it for anyone sensitive to latency.

What about that Shadow Game streaming service you did a video about a while ago? They are so underrated.

maybe cus for the most part no one new can even buy into it since most of the countrys have a 4+ month waiting time.

I used shadow since September 2018 in Germany. Now it’s so bad on performance. My GTX 1060 with a Xeon w3680 is much faster than my current shadow vm. So I can’t recommend it for now

a good bonus to the PS now system is that for PS4 games that are on there you can download them onto the ps4 itself to play without worrying about your net. i think some ps2 games can be downloaded as well but ps3 games are online exclusive.

No, no and no. If you have "average" subpar internet don't subscribe to any of these services, it is not meant for you then. Neither is it meant to work over 4g that's a ludicrous idea and any and all latency issues would be completely on you, not the streaming service.
@magentasound_4 жыл бұрын
Yeah definitely not, we don't need a 15 min video to know that this won't work with average internet

@@Minecraftrok999 Stadia works on 4g with just as impressive results as when I'm at home on my WiFi, so perhaps Gforce and x cloud would too. I don't know if an entire video would be needed but to say none of the services would work is just plain wrong as I know for a fact one does.

Could you guys try out Shadow. It is a Cloud Gaming Service where you get a VM with Windows 10 on it and you can do with it what ever you want. There are three types of thiers but now only the lowest thier is avaiable but the other two will be activated at gegin 2021 so maybe you could show it because in my opinion it is really cool and just not enough people that know it.

A regional service would be most realistic. The datacenter needs to be within a few hundred miles in order for it to be a good experience. Trying to game on a machine that's on the other side of the atlantic won't work very well.
@theignorantphilosopher48554 жыл бұрын
@@alt572 It very much depend on the game. In fact when it comes to latency, distance isn't necessarily the most important factor, but distance is the factor we can actually do something about, without stability being negatively impacted, thus I need the data center to be located in my backyard. Well, not me personally, as I don't play any game that has such requirements, in fact, I don't really game all that much.
