@Massimo Pasqualetti I think If I looked like a human bowling ball I'd take my ass to gym and do some cardio. As for "if someone told me this... How would I feel?" - The answer is in different because I am not some special snowflake who needs a safe space to hide from mean words.
@jacobnunya808
@jacobnunya808 5 жыл бұрын
@Massimo Pasqualetti It's not about "ignoring" mean things. That's something people who cannot handle things do. It's called having thick skin. You don't break down and cry when someone says something mean to you especially when what they are saying is both true and probably your fault. Anthony should just accept that he is super fat and it's not good (which I'm pretty sure he does) and anytime someone says he is fat in a mean way he should just think "yeah, I'm fat and I know that" or "I'm fat and I know that but I don't really care because I like cheetos a lot". Now ideally he would hear that and think "yeah, I am fat and that is not good. I will try to lose some weight".

That's what makes it somewhat a sad day for AMD, when their brand spanking new CPU, and architecture can only just compete with a year old intel CPU, sitting on a 5 year old architecture. And now that Intel dumped their prices, they are still more than able to compete. A 9700K is cheaper than a 3700x, but will still beat it in Gaming performance, and mostly keep up in every other real life task..(but not imaginary benchmarks). Mind you I got 2700x myself, but honestly i did expect alot more from Zen2.

I remember way back in the day when Starcraft Brood War was a big deal, I would expand to a remote spot on the map, and when the enemy would poke and toy with my main, I would just D up hard, and make just enough to hold off the attacks as long as possible. I remember this one game specifically, this one guy was getting very irritated and trying to convince me to surrender and stop wasting his time. the guy had NO IDEA I owned the entire north side of the map. This guy came at my starting location with everything he had, losing most of his army to defensive tanks aided by high-ground and bunkers with SCVs repairing the damage. As my defenses fell, he said "can you GG now?" I lifted some of my buildings and he started chasing them down and trying to close the game. "I think we are done here" And right about the time it took him to type that, about 20 drop-ships came in and destroyed every building he had before he could even get his army back to repel the attack. ANYWAYS, I guess the point is, I wouldn't count intel out just yet. they have been wayyyyy to quiet over this ordeal - all except for a congratulations to the AMD team. Usually, when people just chalk up such a staggering blow with a simple "good job guys" they usually fire back and fire back twice as hard. You know they are not going to just take this laying down, so don't be surprised when they announce big improvements in both pricing and performance.
@speakdino10
@speakdino10 5 жыл бұрын
Honestly, I think they were sincerely taken off guard by AMD's release. I guess that happens when you don't usually have competition in the performance arena. If they hit back hard, it won't be until their R&D team take a year to think it through.

For gaming Intel is still better... (Intel is better in the games where CPU is the bottle-neck that can not take advantage of more CPU cores like for example Kerbal Space Program). For 90% of the games I run Intel is sadly the best. I now have a 8 core Xeon 2288 and it runs 4,7Ghz all day all 8 cores active and non of the games I have even uses 40%. I don`t know of any games that can even use 6 cores fully so more then 8 cores will not help in almost all games that currently exist, only more raw power helps and the higher clocking Intel CPUs has that advantage still... Maybe next gen AMD will be better but the current generation is only close to beating Intel in single and few thread performance that many games crave.......

One benefit of ryzen over intel too, that anthony didnt mention here is the lower power consumption, it is insane how 3700x uses half the power of a 9900k. From a business point of view, you would choose 3700x over 9900k, less upfront cost and more savings over time. If you only have a power cost budget you could essentially have 2 3700x systems for one 9900k

I bought an ASUS PC with the second gen of Ryzen CPUs (Ryzen 5) and I've enjoyed it like a little kid. The last PC I've got was an Acer with Intel iCore 5 and it was good but it was from 2015. And I felt in love with AMD. I love the path they're building and I hope some day I will buy this chip.

Hi, german native here. You are pronouncing der8auer quite correct. It simply means "the builder" (as in PC builder in his case), deriving from the verb "bauen" (to build), (yet there is also the noun "Der Bauer" which means "the farmer" (as in agriculture).)

If windows is the bottleneck, I wonder how it performs on Linux. I also wonder how this will change the ryzen hackintosh landscape
@danteflame87
@danteflame87 5 жыл бұрын
I hope that ryzen gets better Hackintosh support soon, right now it is completely non-standard as all the hardware acceleration that Mac OS does is coded for Intel chips because macs have never had ryzen chips in them at all, so they were never coded for. The GPU's will be fine since Apple refuses to use Nvidia for their dedicated systems. But if Apple dropped intel for AMD's CPU's then the Hackintosh world would get crazy. The most affordable performance PC's in the world would also become the world's most out of the box reliable Hackintoshes, oh the dream!
