My European teacher for physics who is super smart was always saying to us to put off our phones in class and never put it near your balls because it can lower the quality of sperms which is scientifically proven. She says there needs to be more research done to see what the effects would be on your entire health and putting wireless earphones in your ears (not a lot of research, companies blocking research). But to be sure, put all those devices in airplane mode during class for our health. Sometimes you can’t rely on science because it is monitored by profiting companies. So use your common sense if there is not a lot of research out yet.

You can use your phone on airplane mode and their is no rf radiation. Just use wires. No rf needed. Do not trust the people trying to sell you the products. Or their bribed "experts". If you want to call or use data you will need to use rf though, if you do not use a wired connection. Everyone working in tech sends their kids to tech free schools. That should tell you everything you need to know.

Although the sound quality can be better, the actual reason musicians use wired earphones is due to the unavoidable latency of Bluetooth devices. It is interesting how just a tiny fraction of a second, makes the difference between useable and unusable for recording.

I used to like wired headphones, and do have many advantages. However I was always snagging them on objects whilst doing things listening to music. Hospitals & dentists now limit xrays heavily, after learning that it is not a great idea to keep exposing humans repeatedly I've met quite a few TSA agents with cancer that question the whole body scanner & whether simply standing near it every day, caused there health trouble. Do what you would like to do... But probably a great idea to at least take it in to consideration!

Non-ionizing is the CRITICAL part of this. All frequencies that technology uses occur naturally. Those frequencies are harnessed to be used as the carrier for information (1s and 0s). We amplify the naturally occurring signal and modulate it to send the info we want. Those power levels are tested and verified to be safe by our governing bodies around the world as well as independent scientists and engineers. There is no conclusive evidence that the RF signals used in consumer tech or for Cellphones is harmful. Exposure to the sun provides a MUCH higher risk for damage than any consumer technology we current use. If you are looking to reduce risk use sun screen while looking at your phone outside. It’ll do more than worrying about the RF energy. Signed an RF Engineer

@@Merializer Yes in industrial, commercial or military situations there is risk to be exposed to large amounts of EMF radiation but of course there are precautions to prevent harm. Like warning signs, restricted access to certain areas where antennas are located. There is no doubt that high levels of RF Radiation are bad, but normal consumer devices don’t even approach those power levels. So I don’t seem them as comparable in this discussion.

Contrary to popular opinion, there is some evidence to suggest harm from non ionising radiation, we know RF waves can cause oxidive stress in cells but we don’t know what the implications of that are. Which is kind of implied in the video, we have observed no directly effect in the past 2 decades so we can deem it as safe is the logic. I guess it’s a fair assumption, but i would not be surprised if we discovered there was some cumulative effect decades down the line in the same lieu of cigarettes. Life’s too short to worry about stuff like this.

Can I ask if you have a take on the alarming amounts of heat generated from my old iPhone 12 Pro when I was performing basic tasks? There were times when I was simply browsing forums, watching videos online, or recording a video and it got so hot that I could not physically hold it anymore because it felt about as hot as the metal surrounding a burner on a stove. Not so hot that you can't immediately touch it, but hot enough that you wouldn't feel comfortable keeping your hand on it for longer than about 10 seconds at the most. Using the phone with a case obviously helped create a buffer, but by that point you're just creating a thermal buffer and dispersing the heat evenly which has essentially the same effect over a larger surface area. There were points where I would browse the internet for around half an hour and by that mark my hands would be in legitimate physical pain, obviously from holding the phone, but compounded by the heat generated by the phone itself. Any RF Engineer qualified takes on this? No hostility whatsoever, just genuinely curious so long as you're not going to be dismissive. It can't be good to expose localized parts of your body parts to that kind of heat for long periods of time. Not to mention at a few different points, but one in particular stands out, the phone, no joke, left my leg with what I will affectionately call a "heat bruise" (heat rash?) whereby there was only a slight redness, but it ached as though I had actually burned myself in a large area roughly the size of the top half of the phone, where I assume the antenna or the battery is located, on my thigh. This was after taking a walk while using Spotify to stream music with my phone in my pocket for a few hours over Bluetooth connected to my old Gen 2 AirPods. Got an idea as to what the heck that was? I had been having connection stability and battery life issues with the phone almost the entirety of my time with it. Supposedly this was a known issue with the iPhone 12 line. I am just shocked this wasn't grounds for a recall or a lawsuit for many people, especially considering this was the only iPhone I have ever had to return to the store in under a month for battery and connectivity issues, then the second one, which admittedly did have better battery life and less dropped connections, bricked itself on me in just a two years of use. Not to mention the camera issues, but that is entirely unrelated to RF exposure and the generated heat debate. Those things seem to be lemons all the way around from what I've heard. Hot, heavy, unstable, etcetera, if forums are anything to go on. Anyways, chime in if you've got something. My curiosity would appreciate it.

Wait till those TikTokers find out that Radio waves for you know old school radio have been passing through people’s body for over 100 years. Cellphones use radio waves to communicate to cell “nodes”. WiFi is also Radio Waves. Most modern device operate over the 2.4GhZ frequency making it actually Microwaves. Microwaves emitted from Cellphones, WIFI, Bluetooth headphones have far less energy than the microwave oven which is like 700 to 1200 watts. Bluetooth has the weakest energy of all the wireless tech we own only having a reach of 30 to 100 feet (latest Bluetooth standard). WIFI is has next highest energy of hundreds of feet (walls and object in signal path can reduce this). Cellphones need to reach thousands of feet to cell nodes (towers are no longer needed as Cell “nodes” can be installed on utility poles and even on buildings). Radio Broadcasts need to travel miles and have the highest energy.

From my own experience wearing wireless earbuds during 12 hour long shifts for 2 years, I can understand the concern. My ears eventually started itching and producing liquid and the outer edges of the ear canal would seem to peel as if it were sunburnt. When I stopped wearing them the symptoms eventually stopped. I don't really think it's radiation or heat damage, it seemed to me that it was just my body eventually treating them as the foreign material they are and reacting to them

If you have oxidative stress, it'll eventually mess with your sleep too. If you're not get enough restful sleep, it'll start causing other health problems too.

I don't care so much about the radiation as I keep my phone in my pocket when I'm outside, and I use the 4G as well as GPS, sometimes I even tether WiFi. I care about audio quality, so I still keep my wired headphones at home

I use Samsung 'beans' (they're great!) for years and never had an issue or headache. Those wires are always on the way and you feel like entrapped by them. I guess is also a matter of getting use to. I do not think i could come back to wired.

The EU did tests years ago about cell phones with data that showed an increased risk of brain cancer, so this would make sense.

Well, this random person just made a comment on KZbin about there being a study, so it must be true... except it's not. Studies have been done, and they've shown no increased rates of cancer

@@EdwardsNH Many conclusions of "safety" have been done BY the cell phone industry. A recent study by NIH of meta analysis of valid studies not funded by the cell phone industry show significant increased risk in brain tumors. This is the conclusion from the study "In sum, the updated comprehensive meta-analysis of case-control studies found significant evidence linking cellular phone use to increased tumor risk, especially among cell phone users with cumulative cell phone use of 1000 or more hours in their lifetime (which corresponds to about 17 min per day over 10 years), and especially among studies that employed high quality methods. Further quality prospective studies providing higher level of evidence than case-control studies are warranted to confirm our findings."

Then why haven't they removed the fine print about radiation safety in the back of EVERY manual? If you believe the data especially after the last few years of a certain "safe and effective" then you are brain dead anyway and don't need to worry about radiation.

I'm more cautious about how it affects our nervous system and in turn immune system. I think it potentially can lead to dysregulation of the NS, and ultimately promote disease states. Obviously this is just speculation, but you see individuals with MCAS having sensitivity to these signals because the brain perceives it as a threat. Usually post lyme, mold, forced anesthesia etc and the brain gets stuck in this cell danger response.
