thanks man haven’t been home since 2016 and in that time i stopped consuming animal products so it’s nice to see that there are alternatives for when i go back

Great to hear! Yes I was super impressed and also out of the cities, we were in Athens and lots of vegan options!

Hi, thanks for your video! I'm going to Elounda, Crete in September (my first time in Greece) and I was worried about vegan options, especially plant milk. It never occurred to me there'd be a Lidl there! Breakfast and evening meals will be provided by the hotel and I'm aware vegan options may be limited... We will either eat out or self cater at lunch times. Do you have any more advice for vegan food in Crete? Thanks

🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌 wooooo!! I was SUPER impressed with Veganism in Greece and from what I hear it is common all over the country. I’m afraid I don’t have any specific knowledge of Crete at all, but I’m hoping it’s the same as the mainland. It would be interesting to see what is provided by hotel as sometimes a bit rubbish for vegans, but I’m sure they can adapt things etc when you’re there as from my experience they love fresh cooking. And like you say, just go to a supermarket for the lunch or if you need to supplement the breakfast and dinner 😎😎 enjoy!

Just back from Turkey, it was horrendous for vegans! They have fur clothes shops everywhere too 😢. Never even heard of vegan

Oh wow that is really sad to hear. I was so shocked at how many vegan options Greece had and how welcoming they were tbh. Although I did see a fur shop which I’d never seen before- although it was empty whilst the vegan restaurant down the road was booming 😊😊
