Swift 7 is 9.98mm thick so that's the thinnest, Spin 7 is 10.98 so the spectre sits in between, not that it really matters much. I guess it might currently be the second thinnest, but Intel just announced the new Kaby lake chips so expect positions to change rapidly.

The Acer Swift 7 is 9.98 mm thin and is the first laptop under 1 cm. Lenovo launched the 2nd laptop under 1 cm and beat the Swift 7. Lenovo Yoga Book is 9.6 mm thin. That makes Yoga Book the thinnest laptop in the world, followed by Swift 7 and in 3rd place HP Specter. Talk about facts from Linus. They should release reviews faster (except for phones where they don't just benchmark, but also use them to check the experience), so that their facts won't be false by the time the videos launch. Honestly, the 2016 HP Spectre is a better contender/Competitor to Apple's range Mac Book Laptops.Not just for lacking the connectivity, which HP provides on this 2016 Spectre, but also in performance.Why don't companies like HP, release all of their newer Laptops, with similar features seen on the 2016 Spectre?.If they deigned all their machines like this, they'll be on to a winner.In conclusion, this'd be a great "Hackintosh" solution.So I leave people with this question, why splash out on an expensive Mac Book?.The Mac Book not only has less connectivity features, compared to the HP Spectre, but also is outdated, an slower, where as the HP Spectre 2016 comes with the brand new Intel Skylake CPU's.

I have this laptop with the core i7 6500U 2.59 GHz. Its great for students like me and business men, but when I play it heats up just like in this video although I put copper coins just on the hottest spot which is near top the keyboard. I never thought it would cool it down very fast.

HP Spectre X360 user here, HP drivers are a nightmare, they can't fix simple annoyances, hardware was buggy as hell too, 1 year has past, still have 50% of the original issues. Had to RMA the laptop twice. I will never purchase a HP laptop ever again, and I have never had any good experiences with HP products, I hoped that they finally got their shit together, liked the design and specs. I was very disappointed in the end... All they care about is selling their product, and then they refuse to fix any problems, until their forums is FULL with angry people, then they maybe will start thinking about fixing it.

Lighter laptops are more prone to overheating if under a heavy workload. Light laptops shouldn't have those kind of specs for how badly it would heat up since it would have so little space to take out all of that heat. I'm not its customer either.

My laptop has an i5 6300 HQ (quad core) and had an option for the 6700 HQ. For gaming performance, there is little to no difference, but when it comes to video editing, I slightly regret not getting the i7 version. The i5 still does a good job though.

***** Intel's marketing has just REALLY gotten out of hand. Especially when they have virtually no competition. Look at the 6950X. And the price gap between that and the 6900K. And look at CPUs they market as "Core i7" when they trail behind desktop i3s (the i7-6500u, for example). And you have people like my friend who believe their dual-core ultra-low-power-consumption i7 is vastly superior to my i5-6500. Who also believes that his laptop 940M is better than my R9 290X, just because it's an Nvidia card (OK...that had nothing to do with CPUs...but whatever).

Xu Dong I am using a Toshiba Encore tablet (no keyboard) featuring and Atom z3740 and 2 GB of RAM. The only downside is the 32 GB SSD. It is fast (it's a real Samsung SSD, not an eMMC), but 64 BG is the minimum for Windows. And I can't install apps almost at all on my 64 GB SD card. Other than that, couldn't be happier with my tablet.

dunno i havnt quite had a laptop like my hp thats held up, got it back in like 2010-2011, ive dropped that thing at least 5 times now (like really droped not just it accidently falling a few inches) and its held up well both the hinges seem to lock now (by that i mean they dont rotate at all but ive managed to force them to) but its all functionally intact. i cant think of anyone else i know off of hand whos had a laptop hold up well after that much abuse (do note im not saying hp is the best mine might be a fluke case who knows)

I don't get the point concern with not being able to plug in peripherals into a "thinnest/lightest" device anyway; if the goal is to save weight and space in a bag or desk surface, you're more than likely going to want to pair Bluetooth headphones and mice with it *anyway,* and this is already a popular option (for headphones, anyway) with phones.
