@@MadelnMachines Yes, from top the bottom, it's a completely different plugin designed for bass mixing. Every single portion and feature have different algorithm than the KickShaper and VocalShaper even some knob names are the same. The SAT EQ is not an EQ actually, it's 4 band analog crossovers and low-mid-high are the crossover gain. The unique thing here is that even if you cut or boost it will add saturation. For example if you turn down the LOW all way down, it will still increase the saturation of that specific portion and the bass will sound good even on smaller speakers and phones.

Hey Emrah, congrats on the plugin. Would you recommend Bassshaper on Mid Bass instruments like in Trance genre? That sub bass is handled by other instruments generally.

Thanks, Marlon! Bass balance seems to be the "Achilles heel" of a lot of producers; they want it deep and loud and crisp and punchy, all at the same time. Great video!

First of all, thank you very much for this valuable and detailed review. While many plugins that perform multi-functional processes distort the signal, Bass Shaper provides very balanced and subtle touches with excellent results. Moreover, it doesn't consume much CPU, which is amazing. Thank you to you and to EMRAH ÇELİK, who created this product for us.

They also have one called kickshaper... It's already a great plug in for bass control.... And when they're on sale they are so affordable. Kind of a steel. Recommended plugins because of the price and great workflow for controlling and tightening lowend (either plug-in will do that really well) (It's cool that this also does the maxbass thing for translation to phones and such)

Better than Unfiltered Audio Bass Mint? Also. Was hard to tell but does Punch and Fade only effect the generated sub tone or the input signal too?

It's a different plugin, you can combine it with bass mint. Punch and fade affect the entire signal combined.

Virtually identical in look, knobs and design to their KickShaper plugin, which sells for the same price. And KickShaper was always usable on bass sounds too, so I'm not sure how specialized s tool this is. Anway, if you're looking for an inexpensive bass plugin also consider LoopMasters Bass Master, currently on sale for $10.

Hi, I am the designer of the BassShaper and KickShaper and they are completely different plugins for different purpose. Even the some knob names are the same, their algos are completely different from top the bottom. It's indeed Kickshaper can work on many different sounds and but it does not have the same shaping capabilities as BassShaper. Cheers from Sweden - Emrah

@JayTheLane I feel ya, but at the same time, "deres" is a newer one from them, and it is in my top 3. Highly recommended for taming excessive/harsh resonances.

I just bought this, I wish I had demoed it first. It kills my Mac Studio with Reason - the first plug-in in almost 3 years that I cannot run. I think this needs to be reoptimized in some way because I cannot use it

I also have Mac Studio, and just tested BassShaper with Reason, which works perfectly fine on Macosx Sonoma. Please submit a ticket at WA Production customer service and they take care of you.

problem with WA Production Plugins is that they got no reset to 0 shortcut. pressing alt or ctrl with a click usually resets the knob back to 0 for all other companies plugins, but WA doesnt and it is annoyin as hell 😂

As we have different features on assigned commands, you can simply right click or double right-click to reset the knobs to default state, there is also RST button just in case.

I totally disagree. They can be incredibly useful. I use Deres / Dynawide / Pumper / puncher / fundamental bass / SphereQuad / SphereComp etc etc...There are many gems. Of course they are not Fabfilter :)) But would not say horrible.
