Love these classic muscle car builds, I can't have enough of 'em! The naturally aspirated 6.4 seems to me the best choice and, as far as color choices go, I'd go for a bright shade rather than gray or black. This is not a car that's going to fly under the radar anyways, so it might as well have a color that "pops" real nice. Loved the '64 Caddy too, thank you for sharing!

We asked if anyone wanted to see some of the classic or muscle car builds and we got a pretty resounding "heck yah!" So we are going to start showing those off too!

Me too....this one is REALLY rusty...probably would been easier/cheaper in the long run to start with a 72-74 with far less rust. I've seen a bunch of 71 clones with 72 VIN numbers. And since it's a restomod no issues with the numbers mafia. I like vinyl tops on Cudas...triple black would be classic.

@jeremywillis7407 Daryl's too! @MichaelDozier-j1b That's not a bad idea either. However, Daryl really just wanted that original 71 and got a good price on this one.

The Plymouth Cuda looks so impressive, even if it looks rusty, it's still badass nonetheless. And by the way, in some part of my mind, i almost thought it was gonna have like a 426 Hemi engine swap under neath. Kinda like 70 Challenger & 68/69 Dodge Charger too.

It is a classic American muscle car! The lines, the colors, and the interior options were all so cool.

@JustDriven i will. And hey, keep up the good work. Thanks for the video of Plymouth Cuda, i find it very impressive. Since i am a car fanatic, i makes sense all your builds turn out great in the end. Never really was much of a car fanatic growing up as a little kid, wonder why.

personally my favorite color combo is plumb crazy purple with white interior and white vinyl top and white billboards give or take but honestly sassy grass green with all the white on white isn’t something you see to often and i think that original color with the white interior and vinyl top would look pretty good

I'd like to see teal/turquoise pearl or the yellow like in Nash Bridges. Yellow and black can easily be applied throughout an entire restomod build.

This came with good options and a pretty intense color scheme...so MANY restomods, in tor-red and black, out there...id say let the car live as it was from the factory with the original sassy green over white, and the vinyl top, and if you must go modern driveline, then a 5.7...be true to its colorful but everyday driver past...that would be really different. I grew up when cudas were everywhere and you wouldn't look twice at a base barracuda...so seeing a HIP-painted base would be more interesting to me. My ultimate Ebody is a big block Gran Coupe...infinitely more rare than a cuda
@JustDriven

We tend to hold matching numbers cars in a bit higher esteem. This Barracuda was not as impressive. You aren't wrong though, it would be cool to have something with rad options like this restored to original specs.

In all honesty, I would pay respects to the car's original roots with the factory interior and exterior color and maybe add back on the vinyl top too as you really don't see cars in crazy factory colors like that anymore as they're all bland and boring colors with terrible resale value down the road but it wouldn't hurt to have a nice custom build while having it look like an almost factory cuda car while adding in modern goodies to it. Engine wise maybe stuff a 6.1 out of an SRT Magnum or 300 from the late 2000's early 2010's
@JustDriven
@JustDriven 26 күн бұрын
That would be a solid argument to keep the Sassy Grass. Thank you for the input.
@LonesomeDrifter1987
@LonesomeDrifter1987 26 күн бұрын
@ no problem, now if it was some other color like white or black from the factory that isn't considered rare or unique then perhaps you could change it up a bit but other than that, I'd revert it back to Sassy Grass Green since like I said before you don't see colorful cars like these no more

Being a real high impact Sassy Grass car it’s criminal not to go back to Sassy Grass on a 71. This isn’t some 71-73 mustang that’s green it’s a Sassy Grass 71 Barracuda. Completely different ball game.
@JustDriven
@JustDriven 26 күн бұрын
You're not wrong. Just wanted to maybe do something a bit different on the color palette. Who knows? Even now we still can't agree on a color! Sassy grass hasn't been ruled out completely.
@mysterycomment1553
@mysterycomment1553 26 күн бұрын
you got a color that other guys wish they had and color change there car to. It will set it apart from other resto mods because it’s a legit 71 and it’s original color. Most 71 resto mods aren’t even real 71’s just another year converted. Sassy Grass 71 is tons of guys dream 71.
