I had that exact bike, color, year, etc. Etc. Except For the occasional fouled spark plug from over choking, it was bullet proof, I took off the K racing front plate, and lost , but I rode it till 1981 when I my 1st 3 Wheeler and went to an XR 200 a couple years later, but I'm having a childhood flashback seeing that bike it's a time capsule, that bike looks just like mine did on the showroom floor. Thank you for posting this. !!!!

Wow! That sound brings back a lot of memories. I received an orange 1978 KD100 for my 8th birthday. My friends had either minibikes that couldn't keep up or faster motocrossers (KX80, CR80, YZ80) that were always sidelined getting new pistons. The KD was pretty much indestructible. Awesome first bike for anybody.

I had one rotary valve is no joke . We all beat the crap out of it and it would not die . The rubber boots were important because the carb is on the crank down low .

Definitely a truly beautiful vintage 2 stroke dirtbike. Great bike to learn how to ride on. I learned on a CR 80. Love the paintjob and graphics on the tank.

Another mind-blowing. Ken Kaplan 1976 same age as me. Absolutely gorgeous dirt bike. I love how the paint is with the Kawasaki symbol. It almost looks like a lightning bolt. What amazing machine! Great video! Kenny Jr. Ken sr Great video Ronnie!

Beautiful! This smaller frame KD100M is a great little bike with a little more giddy-up than you might expect. I lost a race from pole to pole with one against my larger KE in 78. Eric in NC

My first bike was a KD100, but the 1978 M3 model in lime green. I saw you got a 1978 lime green M3 in the same collection as this bike and I called your shop to inquire about it and was told JR would call me back but I never heard from him. If JR or someone else could call me I’m still interested in the 1978.

I had a KE100 that was seized and never was able to get it turning. I had engine out and head off with block of wood on piston pounding it with a hammer. Never got it to budge. Never road it and not sure what happen to it afterwards. This was probably early to mid 90s as very young possibly not even a teenager yet. That KD is super nice! Thanks for bringing back good ole memories from the past! :D My first bike I actually owned and rode was 1977 cr125m elsinore. Which later I learned had a newer 79 up swept exhaust on it. That was probably 1995 being 15. I spent all summer picking cucumbers to sell to save money for something and got that. My mom and I both had 2 long..... rows of cucumbers to pick every friday to sell at farmers market on Saturday way to early saturday. lol I was saving for a bike. She was saving for a dishwasher. lol Good times!
