That's cool, I got my winch mounted to a plate like that & the back wall of my shop has a steel post with a reciever welded to it where I put the winch when I need to pull in a car that won't start!

Dude, that cable is long! I bet it's nice not cutting your hands with a steel cable. I think I need that for my truck's front bumper! I like my remote, but it has a cord. Yours is sweet! That's the best value I've seen in a long time.

I e recently purchased a car trailer with winch, I fitted an Anderson plug between the winch wiring and car. That way I don’t get stuck with a flat battery on the winch

If the power cables and wiring are better than HFs badland line then it could be a pretty good winch for the small outlay... I've always been a Warn guy,but they fail often and parts always have to be ordered and are more costly than any other brand .. I've bought and used HFs,Ramsey,and a few Chinese winches which were nowhere near as bad as some people make them out to be... They're a tool,and when used properly,not abused,line length spooled out appropriate to load then usually they work and work well enough to get the job done... Overload,don't spool the line out,don't use a block,or poor mounting and or wiring is a definite recipe for disaster, injuries,killing a winch,a battery,alternator,fingers,etc...

Just about any Winch made will work for the intended purpose as long as there's no abuse involved. For $250 bucks, great price, I'd change out the line on it. That's going to be the weak link. Check out Freedom Winch lines.
