I think there are two ways (prolly more) to interpret what the manager meant about their relationship: - You are dating a person who is going to blow up. You have an inferiority complex. Your issues will affect her ability to grow in this business. - You are dating a person who is going to blow up. Her having a relationship will get in her growth in this business. Given that it is Japan and how the idol business works over there, it could easily be the later. But I think he meant it more on the 1st option with a mix of the second. He probably was trying to tell Ichikawa: You might not be ready for this. And he isn't, but it doesn't mean he can't try and succeed.

These two are so adorable I can barely handle it. Ichikawa telling Yamada he wants to know more about her and then calling her pretty without even thinking about it. It's just too cute. And next episode is one I've been waiting to see animated for a while. Very excited!

Your comments at the end are me every week. Usually I have to figure out which one to start with, but mostly it's become A Sign of Affection for me or Apothecary Diaries. I watch this show very soon after though so I get it. Love your cute happy squeals.

One of the annoying things about the entertainment industry, which looks to be worse in Japan, that whole the celebrity can’t be in a relationship thing or it would ruin their career. It would be interesting to see if the show will touch more on that as we follow Ichikawa and Yamada’s love story.

What I like about this episode is how Ichikawa growth up mentally, like he is more mature than back then. My boy not letting his ego win over Yamada's future. Man he is such a chad! And if you notice he is also growing physically, he got a little taller!

A really good thing about this show is they never dive too much onto topics like the Yamada's work cause its gonna drag this show down thats outside of its premise. And just to remind you that this show's premise is to deliver a really cute, diabetic, peak and romantic romcom that will make you "die" to support (yeah thats what they actually said on the s1 visual) and so they never tend to dive deep into topics like the actress, idol and etc. They are basically telling us to focus on these two, anything outside is gonna interfere with the premise That is reassurance for us viewers and even manga readers. The author wants to stick to her goal and she is not gonna break it.
