Yeah they are absolutely fantastic. So is the device! I'm on my 2nd Cyborg now - gifted a fairly stock one to a kid I know & pimped a full custom one out for myself. I've been using for I guess 3 years now & I absolutely cannot use anything esle. If they announce they're closing down, I'll buy ad many as I can afford at the time - minimum 10. Can't game another way.

man i tell you ever since ive purchased an azeron cyborg ive purchased 2 more.. the product is amazing and the discord is full of help and positive people.. the 3d printing aspect of is an eyesore but then again if 3d printing wasnt a thing the azeron would not be here.. maybe down the line they could make a proper mold ( which is extremly expensive) but , i dont think that its necessary. though they have not perfected the cyborg as of yet, the extreme support of the community is going to propel this company.. now as far as competition, that will happen down the line when azeron gets to a threshold to were the Keyboard industry cannot ignore. and once that happens we as a consumer will reap all the benefits!!!!

Totally agree. I am working on possible replacement/upgraded parts for the original and the Cyborg. I contacted them because to make the upgraded parts, I would need to make copies of some of the parts and I didn't want to violate any of their intellectual property without their permission. They gave me permission for not only personal use, but they encourage me to sell them, if I was able to get my ideas to work. Really great people!

you have by far the best videos on azerons! no fuss, just an honest perspective on them. i feel like the azeron is often subjected to people overplaying the unique form factor/concept for clicks, so having videos where it feels much more person to person have been great to watch. im a ffxiv player and incapable of reaching most keys on the keyboard so im forced to click the buttons on-screen, which is kind of horrible. your long video taking apart the linus tech tips 'review' really cemented the azeron as an option for me, with how you talked about the theory behind the device. anything that i was worried about that you didnt cover in that video, youve certainly covered in this one. now im looking to get one to try my hand at it--azeron should really give you an affiliate link lol. youve got such a pleasant vibes and a knack for presenting things in a way that is both helpful and clear, i hope you hit it big one day!

I REALLY appreciate your words! That is why I cover stuff the way I do, I feel like people try TOO hard to be "Commercial" and try too hard to convince people to get things. I just want people to know what things are really about and how I feel about it. I actually do have a code, I have had one for a year ["eyeonfgc"] that I didn't get paid for, I only asked them for it cause people were asking me about it and it was in all my streams/videos on tiktok/twitch so people got 5% off, I didn't get anything but that was okay because they didn't even have to give it to me in the first place and I wanted to see if people would really use it. I've been enthralled by the Cyborg since i saw it and i knew i had to have one myself. Needless to say, i believe, like many, going to youtube to have reviews and see if it is actually worthy, unworthy and so on. And the Linus's review is the very first result. Heck, dude got 12million subscribers. It is, by today's "logic" a powerful weapon, for each of them saw that such unique item is just a quirk or a gadget for a desk. I've been watching your previous video when, honestly, subscribed and saw that you uploaded this update part of yours. My own cyborg will reach in my hands this coming wednesday, and i'm glad that i've stumbled upon your review and the various feedbacks of your own experience, tips and suggestions to better enjoy this gadget.

Thank you for this follow up after your first video, this makes me feel alot better ordering the Azzeron, from them specificly , to be able to costumize my keypad and be able to repair is so much better then having to buy razer's every 2-3 years. One thing I would like to ask is, can you make a video of you playing a couple of games to your liking. I mainly use the pads for FPS being a mid 30's gaming father my hands was always on controllers never pc until about 8 years ago. Once again thank you for the detailed experience with this.

I've had my cyborg for over a year now and have had no issues with any parts. It is a learning curve and requires time to put in to aquire the muscle memory. I have to say that the palmrest will be different for everyone. I did "modify" my palm rest a bit raising the back so my fingers felt more comfortable hitting the "keys" but I've heard others comment that they raised the front. Everyone has different comfortable hand positions.

I've had my Cyborg compact for almost a year now. Like you, I use it for all of my FPS games, and I love it. Over this time, I've had the 4-way switch die on me, and like you they were quick to respond and send a replacement that I installed. I've also had a similar experience with the ball joint on my index finger. Over time, it developed a crack and that set of switches wouldn't hold their position with any pressure. I didn't glue mine in place, but I did epoxy the cracked 3d print, and it's currently holding up just fine. Do things break? Yes, it's a piece of hardware that gets daily use (Heck, the buttons on my mouse are going out, but I don't think that company will send me replacement switches). But Azeron customer service is great.

I have the same issue with the joints at the bottom of the towers, lots of sweaty high APM gaming on mine and they broke. The replacements they offer on their store are from a much strong type of plastic than original so they shouldn't break once replaced. I thought about gluing mine, but I do occasionally move the towers.

Thanks for showing how you glued the ratcheting bolts down and all of that. How do you feel about the tightening screws holding? Also, is the 1st half of the armatures metal? The colored parts plastic or 3d printed poly type? I'm guessing it will hold up pretty well as long as you don't throw it around or drop it but I am curious about the plastics as the colored beams and the petal-like buttons seem a little weak looking. I just ordered a cyborg anyway so I'll find out in a few weeks I guess. I'm not opposed to gluing those joints you showed once I finalize a shape but I wonder if the bolts are replaceable too. I wish more 3d printing designers would make a negative mold of their prototype parts and then cast something stronger than 3d printed material, like metal, strong ceramics, etc.

I'll be able to answer this better once I get home from work. There were like one or 2 parts that cracked over time but I think they were not that vital. but some of the screws are held by small square metal nuts. Overall it holds up well. Non of the Pedal buttons have broken on me nor did I ever feel like I would break them.

... about the screws that hold the thing together are great the only thing that is an issue long term with ware and tear is the plastics rubbing and wearing down but if you loosen the screw before making adjustments if you accidently put too much pressure on a joint and like move it (When its new if the screws are tightened but not OVER tightened you shouldn't have any issues with it moving ...) then the joint should last much longer than mine did since I didn't realize that would happen. The nuts and bolts are replaceable if you get the right size im sure. They give you a few extra screws for replacements. and the square nuts that hold the screws in certain places can slide out of the slots when you completely remove the screw so be aware of that if you take a screw all the way out. I almost lost one once cause I didn't realize it was there. I think the material that they use is fine for what the azeron is but if you could make some of the parts out of metal it would feel SUPER PREMIUM lol some parts I wouldn't want to be metal tho.. Metal joints maybe and a few of the more vital parts would be cool.

18:51 Drift/Jitter is most definitely a problem. You shouldn’t have to adjust your dead zones suboptimally to remedy it. Ideally, inner dead zones should be low for more responsive control.

This is true, but eventually your stick will start to go bad that's why alot of controllers seem to be switching to Hall Effect Sticks. But its nice that in this software you can at least do something about it in the short term until you can replace the stick or get a new one. Other controllers like PS5 etc. You don't have this option. I use my Azeron pretty much every day for hours. Wear and Tear is a thing lol.

Also specifically when using WASD on my stick I am not using the stick input to walk/run. The signal is even on or off like when you press the WASD keys so there isn't really any precision needed. If I was using the Xbox Analog stick setting it would be MUCH more of a problem.

@Frosty_V0 I found out that it was prolly my fault I was getting drift. WhennI opened it up one of the wires was severed near the corner where I screwed the board down when I changed my joystick module. I stripped the wire and put it back in the board and now it's fine.

I really want i would almost say need but sadly i can't afford one. I have such bad neuropathy in my hands due to my struggle with diabetes i have very limited range of motion in my hands and very limited sense of touch. I really want to make the switch to pc gaming and play with friends but there is no Way i could ever use a keyboard, i would never know when my fingers are in the keys let alone stretch for any keys. I am trying t save for on but being on disability i have a very strict income, but something always comes up and there goes my Azeron fund. So right now I guess I'm stuck with Xbox and cross platform games. Thanks for the in gepth video.

Don't be afraid to look for one second hand. Since it's so modular replacement parts can be had for everything. There is a Azeron marketplace on their discord. I live in a relatively populated city and there were a few on OfferUp/Facebook marketplace when I was looking for one.

They are susceptible to needing repair work (very, very rarely) as they are delicate, so I absolutely must have a back up as I can't use anything else. I went from console to PC after 35 years of console (& one Commodore 64) so M&K is such a bizarre/ridiculous concept to me. This really is the best of both worlds & I just cannot imagine life without it. If they announce they are closing, I'm ordering 20. No kidding.

I had more before the Azeron cause I also switched from a G502, with alot of buttons, to a GPRO Superlight for Valorant, that only has 2 side buttons, and then got the G502 X so usually the only button I use on my mouse right now is sometimes F or E (set to a side button) for interact or just setting the side button to interact in game and when I play a shooter where I have to use voice comms, I use the other side button for PTT. I used to have Reload on my Mouse on the "Sniper button" on the G502 and a few other skills but since I have the azeron all my skills and reload went there and in most games I still have buttons left over. Very few games I play use like ALL the buttons and sometimes a layer.

It's been the best investment for MMO gaming. It's improved my response time, I look at cast bars way less finding my keys and pay attention to the world around me. I also had to glue those ball joints. That's my biggest complaint on how fast they wore out. Do not leave in extreme heat like a car. The plastic is very sensitive and keys will stick. Quality is midgrade but better than I expected. Learning curve extremely fast. I have bought the cyborg compact and a original azeron for parts. The compact is still going strong with only a joystick replacement for 3 years. I just got the cyborg 2 compact hoping for the quality to be better as the company has had time to advance plus the extra features and button. One you get used to this thing you'll never go back to keyboard for gaming.

But going forward I am just gonna glue my ball joints no matter what. Mine never leaves my desk so I like the point about not leaving it in a hot car.

Been thinking very strongly about picking one up. From what I know, they updated it so that the BLACK joints ONLY are molded plastic. Anything differently colored is 3d printed. Hopefully that solves the wear and tear issue for the long run. Im very curious about it, and every review I've seen (aside from ltt, which really was not well thought out) has sung high praise for this controller as long as you're willing to put in some time learning it and creating profiles

@PKing87 I don't use the Analog stick Button at all, it is hard to press, if I do use it for something I usually put my pointer finger behind the analog stick housing to make sure I am not putting a bunch of pressure on the joint (this works for the analog stick button too). But my joints are super glued in place not so I could potentially just use them without worrying about moving the joint. But I just in general never like using analog stick buttons if I don't have to on anything. Not on controllers or on my steamdeck.

@ I love the Azeron don’t get me wrong but the main game I use it for is Fortnite and while it’s good for no builds it takes some practice to map out more buttons for builds, maybe it’s just me not wanting to take time to learn new keybinds, but when I was using it for builds it made me stumble on inputs, again this opinion could be changed if more time was played on it in that mode

@ItalianStallion462 Maybe I can make a video on my Fortnite Keybinds. I don't really play builds like that but I set it up so that I can play either. I guarantee if you just let yourself learn to build on Azeron it will be better but moving from one controller to another for something you have muscle memory for is always gonna be rough to take those losses until you get used to it. Same thing happened to me when I went from controller to arcade stick years ago and then from Arcade Stick to Leverless Controller in fighting games some months ago.

They both have the same amount of buttons, the 4 buttons on the top are just different. I feel like those would be much more comfortable to press, We will find out in a few weeks when I buy it.

You can set the stick to Analog in the software and it reads it as a Xbox Analog stick. I set it to WASD tho. Cause for most games the buttons icons will flip back and forth between keyboard and controller icons. I just don't like it but it doesn't really affect gameplay if you want Analog control.

Definitely get it if you're on the fence!

Depends on how much longer your nails are and what buttons you. I guess you could flick the buttons with your nails if they are like a half inch last your finger tip. It doesn't take any force at all to press the buttons so no nails would be broken ... depends

I’ve always loved shooters with a mouse, I never miss. But using a keyboard always stopped me from not using a controller, I want to try this thing out, but fear it’s gonna be a waste of money. Cause it would take me just as long to get used to it when the return window closes. I do like the idea of it though

Personally I don't think it will take you long to get used to it, it took me a few days. You set the keys to what you want them to be and you never have to look down to remember where a key is or miss pressing a key because your fingers are so close to all the keys. It's. Much more comfortable than it looks lol

The only thing I DONT use it for is Fighting Games and Racing Games lol. I play on Pad, Arcade Stick or Hitbox depending on the Fighting Game. I only super glued it after a YEAR of using it because I didn't adjust it properly and messed up the grooves that hold it in place. So I glued it so the joints wouldn't move. Just because it costs $200 doesn't mean that the plastic is immune to wear and tear lol. I have a new one and know know to do what I did last time.

I have arcade sticks that cost more than this $200 that I have used for years and eventually after slamming on the buttons everyday the plastic cracks and you will have to replace a button or two every now and then. Lol I used the Azeron litterally everyday for hours.

Is there a way to deal with software latency of the Azeron? Has been difficult tab targeting enemies effectively and just crouching in Helldivers. The software is showing it being pressed, buuuut, the game doesn't register it til later.

Does the issue still persist if you load the profile as your onboard profile and close the program? Cause I dont have any sort of noticeable latency, but im a "set it to one on board profile and forget it" kinda guy.

@@godsmackfreak13 just ran a test, the onboard helped a little bit, but still have to double or triple tap at times while regular keyboard does fine

@acrobatmapping the only thing I do not use it for is Fighting Games and like racing games. But if you look on my KZbin channel Mostly every game I play I use it.

Not bad review, however I think you are using it wrong if you have issues with the ball joint.. Your only meant to loosen the ball joint for adjustment only! Then your meant to tighten them back up once there in place lol... I cant believe you used super glue omg lol....

@Mnemonic502 I think I addressed that in the video lol. Its not that I was using it wrong, over a period of time if you push to hard on the joint it will move, and without lossening it and then moving it back into place it puts wear on the joint. When plastic rubs it will wear. I used glue cause I never intend to move the joint ever lol so I don't have to worry about the joint moving anymore.

@@EyeonFGC Hi Eyeon, thanks for the reply. I didn't mean to say you were using it wrong, I was just surprised you had glued the joint's tbh... I've been using Azeron keypads since the originals and I've never experienced the joints coming loose over time once set and tightened up. The switches/Buttons are so lite to use so no real pressure is needed to activate them, I guess others use there pads differently.. As long as your happy that's all that matters 🙂

@@Mnemonic502 No Worries, Yea most of the time I don't really press on the buttons hard at all but in like the heat of the moment in like Valorant or a heated fight in Fortnite or Apex when you are trying to hit buttons fast sometimes a little more pressure is used than is needed and the joint will move. The more this happens the easier it gets to move the joint. Over time not even tightening the screw works, unless you stick like a little piece of paper in there or something to give it more of something to bite down on.

😂 Calibrate the stick WITHOUT the restriction ring, THEN put it back on. Deadzone is the only thing that matters to calibration, NOT RANGE!

Nah it was another issue with my stick I had tried every way of calibrating because nothing was working when doing it the normal way, but it was because when I put the board back in my Azeron I put it on top of a wire and severed part of it, It wasn't completely cut and separated but it was enough to have a strange affect on one of the directions which would cause the calibration not to work properly. I cut and stripped the piece of wire and put it back into the board completely and it was working properly again.

Anything Linus does is very lazy now they only care about putting vidoe's out. That's why i have steer away from Linus tech tips now instead i go to jay2centz and Gamers Nexus and others. I have notice Linus videos puts shit on products that they aren't partnered with IE intel AMD NVIDIA etc compared too the smaller companies they treat them like trash basically. Its sad how far Linus tech tips has fallen

I got razer Tartarus v 2 it is hands down most ergonomic keyboard I ever had. Though that is all wasted with f... terrible key mapping software and lack of keycap customisation. As for this thing, can joystick be used for movement? From what I see it's used for shooters mostly. Has anyone tried it on X4?

@taccosspicy3014 I use it for any game I can, the Stick is mainly used for movement in any game. It has Xbox360 mode where it will read as a 360 analog stick but I normally set it to WASD. I didn't like the Razer Tartarus V2 (like I didn't buy it over the Azeron) because of the Tartarus having a Clicky Dpad for movement and I didn't thing that would feel good for most games for movement and I wanted to get away from using 3 of my fingers on the WASD buttons.

@taccosspicy3014 Also by X4 do you mean the Space Sim? I am not familiar I just Googled "Game X4". If so I haven't used it on that but I have used it to play Star Citizen and Elite Dangerous a bit.
