if you bolt down properly and put the safe in a corner, or even recessed wall space, it will be even harder to use the tools to attack it.

As "gunsafes" (RSCs) go, now that the Superior Untouchable is no longer made (shame on you, Superior for that and cheapening your Master and Supreme RSCs), the BFII is head and shoulders the best you can buy. If I needed to buy an RSC, it would be a BFII.

If I don’t care about fire, what is a better safe in the same price range as bfx 7250? UL15 or UL30. Is sturdy safe the best bet?

Usually the fire rating coincides with the security level. You might look at some commercial safes that aren't fire lined at all.

I think Amsec Safes are good safes. The one thing they do wrong is not cutting the locking bolt holes in the door edges tight to the bolt and using plastic grommets around the locking bolts. What's wrong with this you might aks [ :-} ] ?? Well what is going to happen to those plastic grommets in a fire ?? My guess is they are going to melt and thereby allow an opening around the door that maybe polusol will not fill in that gap and allow heat and smoke to enter the safe body. Just sayin........

You might have a point, but those Teflon guides that they put in are pretty thin and even if they melted, I don’t think it would cause much of a door gap issue. Once that Palusol gets hot enough to expand, it’s almost like a glue as it comes out as a fibrous mass that basically holds the door in place anyway. If you’ve ever had to pry a door off after a fire, you know what I mean.
