Is this a Mega Drive Mini 2 scam on Amazon UK?

Earlier on today I saw on one of the many retro gaming groups I'm part of on Facebook, someone had shared a link to the Mega Drive Mini 2 on Amazon UK and I'm a little dubious about it.

It’s genuine. If you look on the right underneath “Pre-order now” it’s despatched by Amazon and sold by Amazon.

It is not a scam. Mine came from and sold by Amazon. The reason for the high price are a number of things, very limited stock outside of Japan, increase in microchip prices and Covid causing a lot of crap over the last 2 years. What is unforgivable is they should have supplied 2 controllers. The Sega store is just a listing for Sega products it is not Sega themselves having a store on Amazon.

I thought it looked a bit odd but weighed it up noticing it was linked to amazon so I can always return it. I'm hoping it's a genuine things and on its way soon.

I think they made a stupid mistake, it was the real deal. It's sold out now. It is an amazon exclusive. It is super limited and you may have missed out. But hopefully they'll have another batch of these for your sake.

Its the Real Deal. Apart from they cheaped out on the On'Off Button. They are using the switch from the last mini. A real Mega drive 2 had 2 Buttons one for power & one for reset.

My concern is the Sega link I clicked on in the video. Yeah I agree on the button issue. I'm in two minds whether I'm going to preorder one or not.

@Rick Todd I know there is a US and UK release I mentioned it in my video here kzbin.info/www/bejne/qn_bo4mqgc59n9k but I'm concerned that the link on Amazon (as shown in this video) isn't the genuine machine. What do you think?

@@RetroGamesRediscovered Ok i get now finally . lol . Its the same UK link Mad little Pixel posted . Not saying its legit just because he says so but. Plus its all sold out now anyway. Not that i am going to get one . I have all my Mega Drive stuff on a my Custom Batocera build. Also he says that the UK is going to be released first before the US release which is unusual . so i would keep digging if i was you.
