Have you tried for long ride and for long climb? Hows it feel on climb?

@@Finadiputra I can’t give u an answer based on fair comparison but I wil try from my own perspective. Compared to my previous endurance bike, the venge doesn’t do that well on climbs, according to my experience. I felt it was tougher to climb. On long rides, it was ok, decent comfort. In terms of maintaining high speed, it’s great! I enjoyed that aspect of the venge

Great advice from Brian. Comparing a dream car ride which most likely is still a grocery getter in Singapore which is a total liability with a 10 year life span, a dream bicycle ticks all the financial boxes over it. Save up, spend it, get it, ride it!

Same group set up as well for me. Dura-ace rotors and Ultegra 8070. I have the plain old stock 2019 purple satin flake color but with an added s-works decal on the seat stay. Since it’s the same frame as an 11r s-works frame.

my venge weighed 7.36kg with power meter pedals, built with Ultegra di2, winspace hyper 50mm. i think it is possible to reduce to sub 7kg if I build with DA di2 and a lighter full carbon saddle (current is 230g)

Ultegra are made to last long for normal rider into cycling sports but Dura Ace is made for racer not mean for long lasting. People buy DA cause to match the high end bike.

I had the same issue with one of my Enve 4.5 AR disc rims for my Venge Pro, when the rims were purchased brand new last year. I told Enve even though the issue was cosmetic, it was not acceptable. They swapped my rim out for one without the cosmetic issue.

But the issue will still be there isn’t it? Over time cosmetically, it will come back. I’m facing the same problem with my own set of ENVE’s

@@OompaLoompaCycling I have another older set of Enve rim-brake wheels (Enve 6.7) and they do not have that problem. It is possible over time my Enve 4.5 AR disc rims could develop that problem but for the price I paid, there was no way I could accept that rim. Those white lines were all over it on both sides of the rim.

Cool bike and paint but do not be overly obsessed with buying fancier wheels and weight reduction, they will give you marginal gain riding in Singapore. in group rides you will benefit a lot more from drafting than any equipment gain you can find. Enjoy riding and being on your bike brother. Stay safe! I ride a 2011 Cannondale Supersix Sram Red 2 x 10 with Fulcrum Zero and it is lighter and quicker than most modern bikes out there. Only thinng i wish i could do is run 28mm but the era did not accommodate that.

Beautiful bike. Thanks for another great video. I always feel, that you should spend within your means and prioritize your spending. Sometimes in the heat of the moment, you will over spend on your hobby and regret later. I have thought of building a 20k bike, but end up buying a good watch which give me good investment returns. 😀 End of the day, as long as you are happy. No right or wrong.

This guys! Always complaining about the weight of their Super Bikes! I ride a 9.4 kg aluminium bike with Tiagra 9 s,not problem climbing with that one! Also,I have a carbon bike 8 kg,with Ultegra ,not problem climbing in that one,either,and I am 44 yo! Both of my bikes are Malvern Star!

@@Mikekhoh not sure many people would agree with you in thinking the SL7 is faster than the Venge. It's less stiff and less aero. In independent tests, it's slower than the Venge. If you're worried about weight, maybe eat less burgers? If you're worried about weight, maybe stick to rim brakes? If you're worried about weight, maybe get an Aethos?
