Is This All-Inclusive Resort in Thailand Worth It? Review of the Wellness Retreat Program at Amatara

If you're looking for an all-inclusive resort in Thailand, then I have a recommendation for you! I stayed with Amatara Resort to try their wellness retreat options and programs.

Instead of a packed schedule of running around and trying to see everything, you can spend your days at the resort doing fitness classes, stretching, personal training, and enjoying a customized meal plan that's built just for you.
This video covers everything that's included in the wellness/active package that is offered at the Resort such as:
- Accommodation
- Roundtrip Airport Transfer
- Full Board (3 Healthy Meals per Day)
- Individual Consultation on Goals
- Follow- Up Consultation
- Departure Consultation
- Physical Analysis
- Body Composition & Biological Age Testing
The consultations will include a body composition analysis, feedback on your workout schedule, and a healthy meal plan for you to follow.
The meal plan will recommend a caloric intake according to your personal goals and all meals will have calories displayed.
After your initial consultation, you will receive your itinerary.
Some of the activities that are on the itinerary include:
- Full-body Stretching
- Foot Reflexology
- Relaxation Massages
- Personal Training
- Deep Tissue Massage
- Yoga
- Muay Thai
I would recommend doing all the consultations on your first day and going to a massage. This will help you get an idea of what to expect without overdoing it.
On day two I would recommend doing 2 massages, a personal training, and then after that a stretching class.
For lunch and dinner, you'll be eating at the Senses Restaurant which offers low-calorie meals that still pack a punch in flavor.
We spent New Year's at Amatara and enjoyed a ton of food and beautiful performances. I recommend staying on New Year's Day as well since the resort was basically empty!
Unfortunately, I had food poisoning when I arrived at the resort, but luckily there was a nurse on hand who was able to help me during my stay.
Another thing you can do at the resort if you're looking for more activities is to grab The Wellness Activity Calendar. This includes optional classes and activities, some complementary and some an extra 500 baht.
Some examples of that include:
- Ceramic Painting
- Active HIIT
- Group yoga
- Classes on the Benefits of Detoxing
- Natural Soy Wax Candle Making
I definitely enjoyed my stay at Amatara and highly recommend it if you're looking for a relaxing wellness trip!
