An American man retired in The province Philippines with His Filipina and a 2 weeks old baby, Enjoy watching our video guys just showcasing our self independent way of living here in our mini farm Hello To all our KZbin Family and friends and to all who may have come across our channel, Thank you all for your support. My American husband is enjoying his food processing adventures from caning, smoking, making sausages, from our own home grown organic= pigs . We also grow our own cow for beef meat which is the main food. Philippines may not be the perfect retirement for every foreigners, that is why adapting to new life style specially here in the province where everything is slow yet its also the most peaceful place you can ever live. In the first months of being here My American husband have trouble adjusting to what we call a norm here, but later on He learn to adjust and adapt which is very vital for your survival and happy life here in the Philippines. After He decided to built and restore my chicken coop which cost him almost 12kusd, His life becomes more happier for he turned the place into a more productive one. This is now his man cave, Where he perform his meat processing and wood working. Our KZbin Channel is all about our personal life and farming videos we thank everyone most of all the ones who followed and stayed with since we started. From the doing the community project to the school different projects.

I remember growning up my mother was always canning but it was different times back in the 60's and 70's. Lots of fond memories from back then. It's a lot of work but at least you know what goes into the food you are canning.

Dang, I'll bet that meat you smoked would make an awesome pea soup or bean soup (navy or great northern beans). Randy, maybe your mother made those soups when you were a kid, my mom did for our huge family of 9 kids, great way to stretch a ham bone.

Your baby is so good not a peep while you two were busy with the chopping and putting in jars. Did you used to work in the food/catering industry in the USA? Interesting process, cooking meat then put in jars etc. I have seen many expats eat lettuce when making a salad in the Philippines, some markets sell lettuce as do supermarkets, so you can get it....maybe not everywhere? Is that an outdoor covered kitchen next to the house, or is that your house kitchen? No smoking in that kitchen I guess, although I have seen you smoking in the house....hopefully not around the baby!

If she's breast feeding , she does need extra protein actually 15-20 grams of what she normally would eat. It'll help her stabilize her Blood pressure while she is lactating.
